Who knew that the color combination of navy, coral, and fuchsia would make me swoon quite the way that it is right now? Couple Sharon and Jon, with help from wedding planner and florist Alicia K Designs, hosted the most effortlessly romantic and lively Napa wedding at the gorgeous Solage Calistoga, and their color palette, not to mention their happiness shining through in these images by Sylvie Gil Photography, has my heart simply singing!
What three adjectives best describe your wedding? Timeless, romantic, and organic.
What was your wedding color palette? Navy blue, coral orange, and fuchsia pink – we used a gradient light to dark pink in small details.
What inspired your personal wedding style, and how did you incorporate your style and personalities into your big day? We loved the wedding blocks – we wanted our wedding to be chic and beautiful. We based a lot of the detail of the table decor off of a beautiful table setting we saw in a Colin Cowie magazine. We also wanted to incorporate our two cultures. The wedding emphasizes the joining of our cultures and families.
Looking back, what are the moments, decisions or memories that you love the most about your wedding? I loved our first dance. It was such an intimate moment, but also the climax of our day, where we had the chance to enjoy each other explicitly. I will hold on to that moment forever.
What piece of advice would you give to a bride planning her wedding today? Whether its getting in shape or combing through spreadsheets in the middle of the night to cut costs, remember to do everything in moderation. Pace yourself. The assessment of value-to-price is important through the whole planning process, but my advice is to find 3 things you absolutely need to have and let yourself splurge a little. With that being said, stick to your budget. This is not just your wedding, its you and your future husbands wedding. They may not care about a lot of the details (perhaps they cant visualize like you can) but the choices need to reflect both of you.
