Modern and Chic Miami Wedding at the Viceroy Hotel – Kerri and Craig

The Wedding: 05.03.13 – Trinity Cathedral and FIFTY at Viceroy – Miami, Florida

What three adjectives best describe your Miami wedding? I would like to think it was Classy, Timeless, and Modern.

What was your wedding color palette? Black, White, Ivory, Silver.

What inspired your personal wedding style, and how did you incorporate your style and personalities into your big day? I love the look of black and white decor in my home and the way it always looks fresh and elegant. I like to play up the textures of things rather than using tons of color – using a bunch of different white flowers is perfect! I love modern with a little romance thrown in, and my husband likes anything I like so it all worked!

Looking back, what are the moments, decisions or memories that you love the most about your wedding? The view was amazing!! We had all of our closest friends and family there, which ended up being the perfect amount of people. I loved getting ready with my mom and dancing with my dad – I cried like a baby. We had a candy table that we used that for our wedding favors, and it was amazing. We really loved how the flowers came out and how everything fit our style perfectly. Becca took photos of us while the sun was setting, out near the pool overlooking the city, and I remember feeling so safe, beautiful and happy to finally be Craig’s wife. Being outside for just those few minutes let me take a moment to soak in the whole day and slow things down. We looked around and just felt so blessed that our guests flew in from all over the world just to celebrate with us. That was such an honor! We had an after party following the reception out on the 50th floor pool deck, so the party never ended. We had such an amazing time with everyone we love!

What piece of advice would you give to a bride planning her wedding today? Choose your hair and makeup wisely! All brides think they want to look like a magazine cover or a celebrity but you will get in a state of panic if you dont feel like yourself on your wedding day. Dont over do it!

Colorful Outdoor Colorado Wedding – Lauren and Phil

The Wedding: 09.07.12 – Planet Bluegrass – Lyons, Colorado

What three adjectives best describe your wedding? Rustic, authentic, and rowdy.

What was your wedding color palette? Phil is an artist who works with vibrant colors. We wanted his style to come through. Peacock was our thread through most things. Deep teal. Ohhh and lots of yellow. Phil designed our letter press invitations and we kept that color and logo in many elements.

What inspired your personal wedding style, and how did you incorporate your style and personalities into your big day? We are inspired by the outdoors. I wanted all aspects to be outside from the ceremony, cocktail hour, to our open air pavillion. Even our transportation was an open air bus.

Looking back, what are the moments, decisions or memories that you love the most about your Colorado wedding? The most incredible aspect was our guests. Phil and I had the once in a lifetime chance to get everyone we love together. It went so well. I never stressed about the details. It was all about the love and I feel like that really came through!

What piece of advice would you give to a bride planning her wedding today? A wedding planner. Revel and Bloom was our wedding planner. I think that was the best decision we made. I did not have to worry about set-up or breakdown on the day of the wedding. It was more affordable than I expected and alleviated so much stress. I was able to be creative and playful and they made it all happen.
