Natasa and Nigel’s wedding in Cyprus was full of folk tradition and breathtaking views. The wedding, surrounded by a beautiful village, included natural details and a rich color palette. Eric Ronald captured the couple’s precious moments spent on the mountain after exchanging their vows.

The Couple:

Natasa and Nigel

The Wedding:

Fikardou, Cyprus

The Inspiration:

Traditional Cypriot theme chosen to showcase the simple beauty of Cyprus’s villages and folk tradition. Fikardou is an UNESCO heritiage village in the Machairas mountains in Cyprus near to Natasa’s home in Farmakas. The wedding was the first to be held there in more than one hundred years and the ceremony was conducted in the ancient church. Reception was held in the village streets with Cypriot food and drinks for refreshment. Dinner was taken under the stars with the proprietor of the village tavern arranging an amazing traditional buffet meal followed by dancing.

Wedding in New York at Locanda Verde

February 8, 2015 | Junebug Weddings

Classic-New-York-Wedding-Joel-Bedford-Weddings (28 of 32)

The city streets of New York were the perfect backdrop for Roseann and Thomas’ classic wedding. The day began with a traditional ceremony at Church of the St. Paul of the Apostle, followed by a stunning urban photo shoot of the newlyweds and an elegant dinner reception at Locanda Verde. The whole affair was beautifully photographed by Joel & Justyna.

The Couple:

Roseann and Thomas

The Wedding:

Locanda Verde, New York, New York

The Inspiration:

Classic, simple, and very city-inspired. St Paul the Apostle was a clear choice for our ceremony because it served as my neighbor for many years. The church itself is a beautiful gothic revival. Our officiant, Father Paul Lostritto, a Franciscan priest is also a good friend of mine who I met through practicing yoga. As we took our photos, we wanted our guests to enjoy the views of the city, and thus, had hired a double-decker bus to give them a tour of the city.

The Moments:

My favorite part of the day was walking down the aisle with my father and meeting Thomas at the other end. Everyone was incredibly happy, excited, and loving. I walked down to my favorite song, Canon in D, a song I had played on the piano since the fourth grade.

Canoe Wedding at Emerald Lake Lodge

February 7, 2015 | Junebug Weddings

Canoe-Wedding-Banff-Orange-Girl (19 of 21)

The incredibly icy blue waters around Emerald Lake Lodge were what initially drew us to this wedding, and then we fell in love with Janice and Diego’s sweet love for each other (and their pup!). A great color scheme is one that complements the venue, and Janice and Diego’s pastel orange and lavender color palette perfectly accented the blue water backdrop. Orange Girl Photography captured such stunning images of the newlyweds paddling around in a little red canoe, which are definitely our new favorite couple portraits.

The Couple:

Janice and Diego

The Wedding:

Emerald Lake Lodge, Field, British Columbia

The Inspiration:

Emerald Lake lodge itself was the inspiration for the wedding. With such a beautiful backdrop I wanted to keep things pretty, classy and simple. I spent a lot of time online looking for ideas, and integrated things to keep it personal. Our wedding was super small, with only immediate family and one friend each, just 30 people. So it was important to me that everyone feel included and special.

The Moments:

My favorite moment would have to have been the time after the ceremony when Diego and I paddled out onto Emerald Lake on the canoe. It was such a perfect day, and we had a couple of minutes together alone to take it all in.

The Couple Recommends:

Kristie Tweed with Orange Girl Photography was amazing! She is seriously the most thoughtful person ever, even after the wedding was done she continued to amaze Diego and I. I recommend her to everyone, best investment ever! Love all of our pictures!

Venue – Emerald Lake Lodge
Floral Design – Amborella Floral Studio
Cake – CRAVE Cupcakes

A special thanks to Orange Girl Photography for sharing Janice and Diego’s picturesque wedding at Emerald Lake Lodge with Junebug! Love the canoe portraits? You’ve got to see Meghan and Patrick’s adorable Lake Dillon Colorado engagement shoot.
