The Aria, based in the Minneapolis Warehouse District, is one of the most incredible venues in America with its industrial loft-like structure and warm, romantic ambiance. Rachel and Jonathan’s wedding in Minneapolis stole our hearts when it was chosen for Best Reception for the 2014 Junebug Weddings Choice Awards, and we knew you would love to see the whole shebang on the blog. Photographer Matt Lien really captured the essence of Rachel and Jonathan’s day, from the quiet moments before saying I Do to the exceptionally designed reception.
The Couple:
Rachel and Jonathan
The Wedding:
Aria, Minneapolis, Minnesota
The Inspiration:
We really wanted an outdoor wedding, but due to the unpredictable Minnesota weather (and the sheer number of guests we had), an indoor space made more sense. I wanted to use spring colors, but in a muted, more modern palette. I also wanted all the bridal party to be mis-matching, but cohesive. So all the girls picked out their own dress based on our palette, and we got bow-ties for all the guys in different patterns and colors.

The Moments:
Too hard to pick one thing. We were so happy with the loving energy that filled the room. From our ceremony, to the food stations, to the flowers and hand made pieces, to the crazy dance party — it was all so much fun.
