Sheryl and Trevor’s wedding put all the best parts of their relationship on display: their incredible sense of faith, their connection to nature, the great support of their friends and family, and of course their impossibly deep love for each other. Cami Jane Photography captured some of the most moving images we’ve seen — seriously, grab your tissues! — from their intimate first look in the library to Trevor’s reaction to seeing Sheryl walk down the aisle. From worshiping in a church to dancing the night away in their friend’s backyard, every moment of Sheryl and Trevor’s Orange County wedding was as sentimental as could be.

The Couple:

Sheryl and Trevor

The Wedding:

Reverence Bible Church, Orange County, California

The Inspiration:

I’m not sure how to describe this. I wanted something that was low stress, that I wouldn’t have to worry about, but that would somehow look something like a garden fairy land. But more than any decor or fashion, Trevor and I wanted our wedding to glorify our God. Amazingly, I think we got everything we asked for. I told people that I love flowers, that I like simplicity, and that I don’t want there to be stress over the little things. Overall, our inspiration came from a heart of wanting to make the day less about the “show” and more about the message.

My dress was my mom’s remade; my flower crown was made by our dear friend Angela; the bouquets and centerpieces were made by friends who love to work with flowers (and who love to serve); everything that was part of our day was contributed to by people we know and love. I can’t say I had a clear plan of what I wanted everything to look like, but I think that helped make it what it was. Each person that helped was given some creative license. So, I’m not sure we had any clear inspiration directed at decor theme and fashion–we just wanted it to be joyful and Christ exalting. All the rest just fell into place.

The Moments:

We both loved when we worshiped together. After saying our vows and taking communion, we had our friend Matt lead worship to two of our favorite songs. Starting marriage off with being reminded of the love of Christ and his sacrifice is indescribable, and having that reminder through worship with your brothers and sisters in Christ is something wonderful.

Steamy Desert Engagement in Phoenix

July 13, 2015 | Junebug Weddings

IMG_1379-Edit

Since Leanne and Jay are planning a winter wedding, they went with a steamy desert engagement shoot to offset the seasons. Leanne donned a striking red dress that made a bold and sexy statement among the dusty greenery. The heat of the Phoenix sun was nothing compared to Leanne and Jay’s burning love as they embraced between the cacti. Photographer Nicole Ashley‘s portraits of the couple are absolutely breathtaking!

Charming 1940s Wedding at Horetown House

July 13, 2015 | Junebug Weddings

Charming-1940s-Wedding-at-Horetown-House-Savo-Photography (12 of 23)

With the 1940s as their overarching inspiration, Carrie and Lorna’s wedding pulled elements from their personalities and relationship to form a truly special day for their friends and family. The retro wedding took place at the utterly charming Horetown House where whimsical decor set the scene for a lighthearted and festive celebration. Savo Photography couldn’t have done a more perfect job capturing Lorna and Carrie’s individual quirks and their deep connection in these portraits that the newlyweds will surely cherish forever!

The Couple:

Carrie and Lorna

The Wedding:

Horetown House, Wexford, Ireland

The Inspiration:

Our overall theme was 1940s vintage paired with personalised and rustic accents. We chose our colour theme to represent our individuality and our pairing: Carrie (purple), Lorna (pink) and Love represented by green. It was quite important to us that our wedding was individual and specific to us, which is why we spent a significant amount of time on hand made and personalised items. We wanted everyone to be comfortable so chose outfits that suited peoples personal comforts and personalities.

The Moments:

We absolutely enjoyed the whole day from beginning to end. Every moment stood out; from getting ready with our bridesmaids, to our sentimental and teary vows, to getting showered in the words of Oscar Wilde, playing connect four whilst listening to the Bugles Babes, dancing to The Script’s ‘For the First Time’, to getting to press the giant red button for the fireworks – everything was better than our wildest dreams.

If we had to say what was our favourite thing about out wedding – it would have to be the general feeling of acceptance and celebration afforded to us by our beautiful friends and family. When it came to our guest list expectations, given the ‘new age’ nature of our wedding, we only ever imagined that we would have a small turn out, and an awkward one at that. Although we had been “out” for a long time, we had never spoken to a lot of our extended family about our relationship. So for some of them, we believe the wedding invitation was the first time that some of them knew that their family member was marrying a woman. So, when all of both our families, from all corners of the world turned up, were so heartened. We were blown away throughout the day by how special and how normal we were made to feel by our vendors and our guests. The overall feeling of love, harmony and equality was completely over whelming and it was a day that we know we and our guests will remember fondly for the rest of our lives.
