Boho Island Wedding in Cambodia

July 31, 2015 | Junebug Weddings

Prem and Gaya's wedding photography in Phuket, Thailand

Sarah and Christian’s boho chic styled Buddhist wedding felt like an intimate oasis for just them two. The couple exchanged vows under a wedding arch that was covered in white linen, took part in a Buddhist tradition, and shared beautiful moments walking the gorgeous island streets of Song Saa in Cambodia. Mott Visuals Weddings captured breathtaking views at this casual, boho wedding in Cambodia.

The Couple:

Sarah and Christian

The Wedding:

Song Saa, Kaoh Rung, Krong Preah Sihanouk, Cambodia

The Inspiration:

Considering the location and the style of Song Saa Island we were looking for a sophisticated outfit which can be worn barefooted – casual and simple but elegant, with some typically local elements. My boho chic style wedding dress went perfectly with the vintage Chanel bracelet that I got from Christian as engagement gift. There were a lot of lotus flowers, who are an important symbol of buddhism, used for decoration and the flower bouquet as well.

The Moments:

For the two of us the monk blessing was the main reason to come to Cambodia, so it was a a very special moment being blessed by Buddhist monks at this absolute unique location.

The Couple Recommends:

Looking for an intimate wedding venue for just the two of us and additionally having a blessing ceremony with buddhist monks we came across the wonderful island resort of Song Saa. Being fascinated by their style of promotional imagery, we found out that it was all the work of professional photographer Justin Mott. Fortunately he was around and had time for a shooting with us – we couldn’t have been any happier having him capturing our special day. He is a professional, talented and creative genius and furthermore such a great person, working with him was pure fun. We got a lot of really amazing pictures to keep as memories and to show our relatives and friends. So if you need a professional photographer and Justin is around and available – don’t hesitate, he is the best choice you can take! The whole team of Song Saa was just amazing as well! The ceremony at the beach and the monk blessing on the deck were just perfectly arranged, just like the beautiful decorated pavilion where we had our romantic dinner.

Oceanside Wedding at Stewart’s Cove in Carmel

July 30, 2015 | Junebug Weddings

Oceanside-Wedding-Stewarts-Cove-Carmel-Heather-Elizabeth-Photography (23 of 26)

With an ocean wedding in mind, Jenessa and Tyson fell head over heels for Stewart’s Cove in Carmel the first time they visited. The oceanside locale made the perfect setting for the couple’s beach ceremony, not to mention their sunset portraits after saying “I do!” Heather Elizabeth Photography impeccably captured the rustic and romantic details that personalized Jenessa and Tyson’s dream wedding by the sea.

The Couple:

Jenessa and Tyson

The Wedding:

Stewart’s Cove, Carmel, California

The Inspiration:

We both decided early on into the planning that getting married by the ocean was the way for us. We both find spirituality being near the ocean, and thought it would be such a magical place to say our vows. Plus, we were engaged by the ocean so it just fit!

One of my really good friends introduced me to “Stewart’s Cove” in Carmel and I just melted! It is one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever been to in California. The water is turquoise, the sand is white, and there is a rustic beauty to it. I love romance and pretty, soft colors, so we went with a “rustic beach meets bling” theme. Soft pinks and mints for the wedding party, a pop of bright flowers, crystals and sheer fabric hung from the canopy, and beach wood candle holders to line the aisle.

The Moments:

When I surprised Tyson and sang to him with the amazing band. Looking into his eyes and singing to him was almost better than saying our vows! I chose to sing “Right Down the Line.” It was such a magical moment.

The Couple Recommends:

The flowers were absolutely stunning, Rick is honestly so talented and easy to work with! Heather our photographer was able to capture the most amazing pictures and did so without an assistant! We have SO many wonderful frozen memories to choose from, and she is also very easy to work with! The food at Kula Ranch was so yummy, we received a lot of good feedback from our guests. The cheesecake bites that we had for desert from Cheesecake Dreamations were also a hit. Steve Ezzo is so talented and his band is amazingly professional. Our guests had an amazing time dancing the night away! We were also very impressed and happy with our wedding video! I am SO happy with all of our wedding professionals all around!

Intimate Iceland Engagement

July 30, 2015 | Junebug Weddings

Intimate-Iceland-Engagement-Capyture (19 of 19)

While most engagement sessions are intimate by nature, Iceland has a way of making you feel like you’re truly the only people on Earth. Heiðdís and Einar traveled to Iceland for an engagement shoot in the majestic landscape where Capyture documented the couple taking in every inch of the terrain’s incredible beauty. Even in spite of the chill and wind, these images give off a sense of warmth that is positively captivating.
