Oliver and Rebecca incorporated traditions from their hometowns into their sentimental wedding at Upwaltham Barns in Chichester, England. From handmade signs to Cornish Pasties, this couple added many personal touches to their wedding décor. The exposed brick and wooden beams of the barn created a cozy and romantic atmosphere for the couple to celebrate their love. From the bride: I loved every part of the wedding, from getting ready with my girls to waving our guests off at the end of the night. If I had to pick a favourite moment, it would be saying our own vows at the ceremony. It was full of tears and laughter and far more emotional than I could have ever imagined.
From the couple: We just wanted a really relaxed feel to the whole day, we wanted our guests to be comfy and feel at home. We didn’t want everything to be matchy-matchy but just colours and styles that complimented each other.
From the bride: I’m from Cornwall and Oliver is from Norfolk so it was important for us to have little hints of both at the wedding. The name settings were written on bits of slate that we’d got from one of our favourite beaches in Cornwall and we had a weekend where Oliver and both our dads handmade all of our signs from local driftwood. Our evening snacks were Cornish Pasties.
