After a beach proposal in California, Danny and Shannon decided to head to the other side of the country for an earthy wedding surrounded by a forest. Full Moon Resort in Big Indian, New York offered a secluded space for their rustic day. Richly colored wild flowers, gold picture frames, and tons of candles created the prefect romantic ambiance for their chilly winter wedding. From the bride: When I began planning the decor and theme, I had so many ideas it was hard to narrow them down. In general, we wanted something rustic, soft and romantic, with handmade touches. My favorite color is blue and Danny’s is orange so we went with a fall palette that combined them both along with other complementary colors like cream and gold. For my dress, I wanted something classic but slightly vintage AND I wanted to be comfortable! It took me more than a few dress shopping outings before I found my dress and I couldn’t have been happier with how it all came together.
From the bride: During the ceremony we wanted to include our guests in a meaningful way so we asked them to give their own vows. Danny’s good friend and officiant called everyone up out of their seats and they enveloped us in the most amazing penguin love huddle to affirm their love and support for us and our marriage.
