Caroline and James’ intimate and understated Venice wedding didn’t skimp on the beauty thanks to My Italian Wedding Planner. Large gold candle-holders sat in the center of each reception table, surrounded by an array of feminine florals arranged by Munaretto Flowers. Caroline carried a simply elegant bouquet of peonies and looked like a princess in her Pepe Botella gown.

Before the wedding, I arranged for our String Quartet to play the composer Craig Armstrong’s piece of music “The Balcony Scene” as I walked down the aisle, as a surprise for my husband. We both love this piece of music. Craig Armstrong is a Scottish composer and the music features in the film Romeo and Juliet. I could not think of a more perfect, romantic piece of music to play in such beautiful surroundings as an overture to our special day.
We wanted a small, intimate, understated wedding in beautiful surroundings, with all of our closest friends and family around us. It was important to us that everyone enjoyed themselves in a relaxed, sumptuous environment and we could not think of anywhere more romantic than Venice. With Stefania’s help, the decor was classic and simple, timeless, with a hint of romance and mysticism.
I absolutely loved planning my wedding and I only wish I could do it all again. I would advise any couple to try and enjoy it and make the most of every moment, as it all passes too quickly.
