In case you haven’t found enough inspiration for your autumn engagement session outfits, this stylish fall New Mexico couple shoot should do the trick. A berry lip for her and matching blazer for him, a white maxi dress with plenty of potential for movement, and genuine giggles from the happily engaged pair are just about the prettiest styling elements we can imagine. Luckily, Jazmine Rubio Photography captured all of the above and more in this fall engagement in Las Cruces!
Not wanting to be a “traditional” bride and groom, Lexi and Jake decided to shake things up at their Sweet Olive Farm wedding. Lexi and her mom took on the task of DIYing their rustic wedding decor, Mama’s Boy Athens served up Southern comfort food at the reception, and a mini horse named Cisco joined the bride’s aunts down the aisle. If that doesn’t sound like a fabulous recipe for a nontraditional wedding, scroll on to see Lexi and Jake’s one-of-a-kind day, captured by Elicia Bryan Photography.
The best part was Getting married in front of all of our friends + family! We also had Cisco the mini horse walk down the aisle with my aunts (who own Sweet Olive Farm), which was pretty memorable. Oh, and my dad’s speech was really awesome.
It was great working with our photographer. She knew exactly the vibe we were going for with our pictures. Elicia made sure to capture all of the moments without making it known she was doing so. I love our photos.
The most important part to us in the planning process was to make sure that the choices we made reflected us both. We are not the most traditional bride + groom, and wanted it to be super memorable in our own style. I spent a lot of time on details and planning with my mom.
Mama’s Boy in Athens, GA did our food. The menu was fried chicken, shrimp and grits (my mom’s recipe), a biscuit bar, mac + cheese, and veggies. For dessert a hot dog shaped groom’s cake and a three tiered cake based off of Momofuku’s birthday cake made by Ike and Jane. The food was amazing.
Metallic accents, geometric shapes, and botanical vibes are some of our favorite current wedding trends, so this dazzling styled shoot really hits the spot! Shuttergram Portraits captured Maddie and Sam’s gorgeous Salt Lake City elopement shoot in front of some spectacular mountains and let the seriously fab table décor and bridal style speak for themselves. We think the naked geode cake with a crystal-shaped terrarium on top is one of our favorite trend combinations we’ve seen lately!
