Louise Roe’s Impossibly Chic Windsor Wedding at Dorney Court

March 9, 2017 | gabby

Renowned TV host and fashion blogger Louise Roe is known for her high-fashion elegance, so it’s no wonder her wedding was beyond chic! Louise and Mackenzie said “I do” in a gorgeous chapel that holds tons of family memories, and their breathtaking reception styled by Savile Rose was held at Dorney Court, a regal English manor house. From Louise’s off-the-shoulder Pronovias gown to her bridesmaids’ white tea-length Self-Portrait dresses, we can’t get enough of this bridal party’s fashion! Amy Fanton Photography captured every stunning moment of Louise and Mackenzie’s wedding, including amazing detail shots of their cocktail bar and reception tablescapes.

Louise and Mackenzie

The Wedding:

Eton College Chapel & Dorney Court, Windsor, England

I wanted to try and enjoy the process of wedding planning itself. We also had friends and family involved – Mackenzie‘s best friend is a chef and took over the food, for example, and my dear friend and makeup artist, got us ready.

Eton College Chapel is beyond stunning, and what made it even more special was that Mackenzie‘s parents had both worked at the school for many years. Mackenzie had grown up being in and out of the chapel, so it held memories.

Our favorite photo was leaving the chapel as everyone was throwing confetti, we were laughing and the shot was great – but what made it even better was that my Mum and Dad happened to be right there in the background!

Our advice: Work with wedding planners! Even if just for the big day itself, rather than in a larger capacity, wedding planners can help you avoid so many mistakes that waste time and money. And when you present them with visual ideas or mood boards, try to pick a theme or a lane and stick to it – it’s a minefield out there and too tempting to want every style! But the more concise and precise you can be, the better.

It was October so the colours were very Autumnal: lots of warm ambers, dark waxy greens and splashes of cream in the bouquet and a few flower arrangements scattered around the reception. We kept things simple, not too bright.

I have to say, I often find wedding favours a bit pointless – you leave with something you’re not really going to use again. So I wanted ours to look pretty on the table but also be used by guests. There were mini bottles of Hendrick’s gin, and beautifully wrapped soaps, candles and hand creams from Lollia.
