Breathtaking Black Tie Tuscany Wedding at Borgo di Castelvecchio

If you know us, you know we can’t resist a destination wedding in Tuscany! So, it should come as no surprise that we’re completely obsessed with Danielle and Scott’s wedding at Borgo di Castelvecchio! This black-tie affair was as sophisticated and elegant as it gets, without losing any of the rustic charm of the Italian countryside. Weddings in Tuscany helped Danielle and Scott create the wedding of their dreams, complete with spring-inspired florals designed by Fluida Design, al fresco dining, and an Italian wedding cake made on the spot! Get your Pinterest boards ready because these images captured by Lilly Red Creative are going to be your new obsession!

The Couple:

Danielle and Scott

The Wedding:

Borgo di Castelvecchio, Siena, Italy

Our vibe was Italian chic. With the combination of having a black tie wedding along with the backdrop of the Tuscan hills and the magical castle, it was exactly what we were looking for. It was fancy and elegant and incorporated every aspect of our surroundings.

We chose our venue because it had a traditional rustic Italian feel with beautiful views of Tuscany, and it had space for all 70 of our guests to stay. We wanted our guests to be able to come and go as they please without having to drive anywhere. We had our rehearsal dinner, ceremony and reception all on the same property but in different places.

If you have the budget to hire a wedding planner, do it. It’s the best money you could spend for peace of mind; especially if you’re having a destination wedding. Also, spend the extra money to get a videographer because the day goes by so fast that you’ll want to relive that moment/day every day you can!

Also, don’t forget that it’s your wedding! You can get easily carried away by trying to please everyone else and lose sight of what really matters — that you and your spouse are celebrating your marriage and spending the rest of your lives together.

My veil was handed down by my mother-in-law and then I had one of my good friends add lace to it. It was my favorite thing I wore that day! I went with a mermaid dress with simple lace. I knew I wanted a huge bouquet so I made sure that the dress and the bouquet didn’t clash!

For the first dance, we did a mix of 3 songs. The first song one was “Can’t Help Falling in Love” and then the DJ played “Holy “by Florida Georgia Line and finally “Marvin Gaye” by Charlie Puth. The band played the first one and then the DJ mixed the next two songs. At the end of the last song, all our guests came out to dance with us!

  1. Awww Tuscany, my heart. Everyone looks so happy to be on vacation and at a wedding in the same place. Love.

  2. Beautiful and elegant, with a breathtaking setting and classic details. The bridal gown is at once classic and updated, and the white tuxedo exudes timeless style

  3. Can anyone share where the bride’s beautiful wrap in the last couple pictures is from? I am getting married next year and would LOVE to find something similar! Thanks!
