What is your specialty or personal style?
After shooting weddings for over a decade, I’ve learned that less is more. Weddings come with massive logistics and countless moving parts, but at the core of it all, it’s about two people in love.
My style is timeless and intentional, and my priority is the story. I intervene as little as possible, aiming instead to create—with the photographer—an intimate safe space were they can be themselves. A romantic state of flow where the couple’s love takes the lead.
Easier said than done, but when it happens—that’s the good stuff.
What aspect of your job never ceases to give you butterflies or make you excited?
Just when I think I’ve seen it all, a wedding comes out of left field. A breathtaking location. A bride so stunning she turns her father into a softie as they walk down the aisle. A groom pushing through sweat and tears, trying to finish the heartfelt vows he wrote for the person he loves.
And then—for a moment—they forget about me, the cameras, the guests… and it’s just the two of them, locked in, staring into each other, full of excitement and hope.
That’s a story I want to tell just right.
