I truly do not think words or pictures could ever fully capture how special this place is. It feels like a little piece of heaven hidden in the mountains, peaceful, magical, intimate, and unbelievably beautiful in every direction you look. From the moment we first visited, Jo and Duncan made us feel more like welcomed friends than guests. They are the kindest, warmest hosts, always checking in and always making sure everyone feels comfortable and cared for. You can immediately tell how much love and intention they have poured into this place. This was the first and only venue we visited and honestly, I cannot imagine a more perfect place to celebrate our wedding. There is something incredibly emotional about this venue, the views, the quietness, the light, the feeling you get standing there. It is one of those places you carry with you long after you leave. If you are considering celebrating your wedding here, do it. It is unforgettable.

Couldn't recommend the palace enough. I literally had the best day of my life, the wedding was so perfectly planned with the help of Araceli from Palacio de Los Palma. All guests were astonished by the experience and the day, saying it is the best wedding they attended in their whole life, and they still say it to us 6 months later now. I am very grateful for Araceli and the team. Can't wait to go back every few years to celebrate our anniversary there, me and my husband!

Where do we even begin with This Must Be The Place… We first met Jo and Duncan in 2024 when we visited the venue, and we were absolutely blown away. We immediately felt emotional at how stunning it was (we had never been anywhere quite like it). We chatted with Jo about our wedding plans and life in general over a cup of Yorkshire tea, and it instantly felt like we were catching up with an old friend. She even gave us a lift back into town after we naively assumed we’d be able to get a taxi (future couples: definitely book one or hire a car!) We booked our wedding for October 2025, and when we returned for our technical visit in February after an incredible food tasting with Caravan Made, Jo and Duncan welcomed not only us, but also our parents and my sister without hesitation. Duncan stepped straight into barista mode, making rounds of coffees for everyone, while Jo took the time to give us restaurant recommendations for Vic - she even let the staff know we were coming and told us exactly what special to order. What we’re trying to say is that at no point did it feel like our wedding was a business transaction. It genuinely felt like our incredibly organised, knowledgeable friends were hosting our wedding for us. Now for the really exciting part - our wedding day. Everyone says their wedding day is the best day of their lives, but ours truly was. We always say we’d love to relive it, but at the same time we wouldn’t change a thing because everything went so perfectly. From start to finish, Jo and Duncan made us feel completely at ease, and the whole day ran seamlessly. The incredible vendors - especially Caravan Made (our caterers), Lara (our photographer) Oscar (our DJ) and The Gathering (our wedding coordinator) - helped make the day absolutely perfect. It’s no exaggeration to say that all of our guests are still talking about how incredible the wedding was, and many are already planning trips back to Vic themselves. We can’t wait to return one day and celebrate our anniversary there! In all honesty, we weren’t completely sure about having a destination wedding at first, but as soon as we visited This Must Be The Place and met Jo and Duncan, we felt instantly reassured. Nothing ever felt stressful or daunting, we just knew everything would be taken care of in their capable hands. We also had a second-day BBQ event, which was such an incredible idea and the perfect way to bring everyone together for the debrief. We were genuinely sad to leave on the Sunday, we just wanted to stay and keep partying/chatting. Ultimately, Jo and Duncan truly care about the people whose weddings they host, and they are simply wonderful people. They make you feel like your wedding is the only one that matters. We can never thank you enough for making our day so special. We’ll be forever grateful. Until our anniversary celebration… All our love, The Kings xxxx

Magical is truly the best word to describe Jo and Duncan’s beautiful property. The photos simply don’t do it justice — the villa and grounds are even more breathtaking in person than they appear in the brochure. And that’s saying something, considering we booked the venue sight unseen from California for our wedding! The villa itself is stunning, with gorgeous stone walls and a serene inner courtyard. The bridal and groom suites are full of charming details, and the property is surrounded by miles of rolling green hills that make for an unforgettable backdrop. Beyond the setting, Jo and Duncan are the absolute best hosts. They are charismatic, kind, and incredibly organized. They answered my long list of questions over email and FaceTime with patience and care. We didn’t hire a day-of coordinator — and we didn’t need one thanks to their help. Everything ran smoothly from the pre-wedding setup to the final moments of our celebration. If you’re on the fence about having a destination wedding (we were, too!), I can say without hesitation that choosing to celebrate in Spain — and especially at This Must Be The Place — was the best decision we could have made.

My husband and I celebrated our wedding here in 2016 and it was beautiful. We had initially planned to host the dinner in the large patio, but we had a lot of rain, which meant we had to move everything indoors. It was still lovely--we used one long hallway for the cocktail hour and dinner (we chose to serve everything cocktail style) and used another long hall for drinking and dancing afterwards. We had a mix of Spanish, American, and English guests and everyone was in awe over how beautiful the space was. I've since been back for other weddings and it's even more stunning now than it was back then. Our wedding was in the evening, but if I were to do it again, I'd do it during the day. That way you can take advantage of the beautiful courtyards (the flowers and greenery are incredible) and still have the dancing indoors at night.
