We booked Shawna for our elopement in the Dolomites and honestly, she was amazing. From the start, communication was super easy — she was quick to reply, really familiar with the area, and had great suggestions for how to structure the day. I’d spent hours looking into photographers, getting quotes, and doing intro calls. Shawna stood out right away. She was relaxed, friendly, and felt like someone we’d actually want to spend time with — which was important, since we were with her for most of the day. We ended up booking 6 hours with her and split it into three different parts: a private shoot at Lago di Braies, a picnic shoot at Alpe di Siusi, and a helicopter ride to a remote mountain spot. She helped with all of it — finding the helicopter company, giving advice on booking the lake, and even choosing the picnic location to make the timing work. She also stopped by our hotel for a few extra shots, which was a nice bonus. Spending the day with her felt super natural. No awkward posing or over-the-top direction — just us hanging out, being ourselves, and she somehow captured it all perfectly. We laughed a lot, had fun, and it never felt like “work” to be in front of the camera. The photos are next level. They bring back so many real moments from the day, not just the big scenic ones but the quiet in-between stuff too. She brought a drone, and her husband joined during the helicopter part and filmed some video clips, which was a fun surprise and really added to the experience. If you’re thinking about booking Shawna — do it. No pressure, no fluff — just a great person who’s seriously good at what she does.

From the moment we connected with Shawna, we knew we were in incredible hands. Shawna took the time to learn about our story and made all of our ideas and visions come true. During the shoot, Shawna guided us effortlessly through poses and candid moments, knew every stunning angle, and even captured breathtaking drone footage that looks like a movie trailer of our love story. Shawna came with a full plan, walkie talkies for coordination for drone shots, and knew exactly how the sunlight moves across the lake. The gallery she delivered was absolutely magical. Shawna was very communicative, checked in on us often, and answered all of our questions with clear answers. She worked hard to make sure we had the perfect day, and was a perfect balance between decisiveness and giving us options. We chose to go with Shawna because we fell in love with her portfolio and the way she encapsulated each couples true love story. Fast forward to “the day”, all of that came to life and we saw how meticulous, mindful, and thoughtful she was in capturing the story of our relationship. Every detail, whether crucial or seemingly insignificant, was brought together into a perfect day that celebrated us. As far as the days events and how we felt in front of the camera…we are terrible at posing for any photos, but despite this Shawna made us feel so comfortable, and confident, and we were able to be ourselves without worrying about what we were doing or where our hands were (if you know you know) Shawna sent us a sneak peek the next evening and we were in awe..just speechless. It validated our desire to skip a traditional wedding and elope in a country, a place, that was so special and so beautiful. An entire year of planning with backlash from our entire family, became worth it in the end when we experienced a day we will never forget. The photos were pure magic, and we have no doubts that we made the right decision. Due to weather conditions, we weren’t able to do some of our original locations but Shawna quickly pivoted and offered wonderful solutions that turned out to be better than we could have imagined. The locations for our shoot included Alpe di Suisi, Santa Cristina and Passo Gardena. Thank you Shawna!!! ♥️
