Can I nominate something for multiple categories?
Yes. When you are submitting your nomination form you are allowed to check more than one box under the categories section.
Can I nominate multiple events in one submission?
No, please nominate different events separately. However, you can nominate one event for multiple categories on the submission form.
Who/what can we nominate?
You can nominate anything that falls into one of our 17 categories and that took place between 10/1/2017 and 9/24/2018. Keep in mind that the link in your nomination should direct us to a specific blog post or online gallery that is easy to view. You can also submit social URLs. You are only allowed to submit videos under the video category. If you submit a video for another category, we will disregard your nomination.
If we don't have a URL, how can we send in nominations?
If the piece of work you wish to nominate is not published on a blog/online gallery already, you can include a link to a gallery with Dropbox, Pixieset, or a similar file sharing service.
Who can nominate?
Brides, grooms, wedding professionals, friends, family, peers, etc. If you see something that you think fits one of our categories, by all means, nominate!
Will nominating my work more than once increase the chances of winning?
Nope! We will review each and every nomination no matter how many times it is nominated.
How do I nominate a category that involves more than one vendor (a wedding, for example)?
You can just nominate the one vendor, and then we'll be able to credit the other vendors if the work is chosen as a winner.
Do I need to be nominated by someone?
No, feel free to nominate your own work, but for good karma, you should also nominate a few peers, too! You should also send the Choice Awards nomination page to friends and family so that they can nominate your work.
I want to nominate but don't have any good photos of my work. What can I do?
Photographs will be an essential part of the judging process. Get in touch with the photographer who covered the wedding you were involved with to see if you can make arrangements to use some of their photographs. Photographs submitted should be sharp, well exposed, and clearly, show your work.
Voting
When does voting open?
Voting opens on October 15th, 2018 at 12:01AM CT.
When does voting close?
Voting closes on October 22rd, 2018 at 11:59PM CT.
How are nominations chosen for the voting round of Choice Awards?
Nominations are reviewed and selected by The Junebug Weddings Team. Once the nominations period closes, The Junebug Weddings Team reviews and selects the top nominations from each category. To get a better idea of the requirements for each category, please review our blog post on what we're looking for in each category.
How many entries for each category are included in the voting round?
5 nominations will be selected by The Junebug Weddings Team and moved forward to the voting round of the competition.
How many times can I vote for each category?
Voters can vote once per day for each category. A day is defined as starting at 12:01AM CT and ending at 11:59PM CT. For example, if you vote at 3PM on Wednesday, you can vote again at 12:01AM on Thursday.
When will winners be notified?
We will notify winners by November 8th if their work has been selected.
When will the awards be announced?
November 15th, 2018
