In need of a mid-Monday pick-me-up? Forget the frappuccino, because there’s nothing sweeter than Shiann and Evan’s Washington proposal at Lower Lewis River Falls. Evan enlisted the help of J.M.Hunter Photography over a month before the actual proposal took place. The two planned an adventurous couples session under the guise of capturing a few portraits of the sweethearts, but the real adventure was in the proposal itself. Neither photographer Jessica nor Evan had been to Lower Lewis River Falls, so the logistics were a little shaky, but it’s obvious from these images that every moment was picture perfect and Shiann couldn’t have been more happy with her surprise!

These are beautiful portraits. I love the ones of them that look like they’re standing on the water. And, of course, the proposal photos are something that these two will cherish for a lifetime, along with a wonderful story to share with the grandkids years from now.
