Today’s Real Wedding is the epitome of a bright, happy summertime celebration. Kristin and Son tied the knot last August in the gorgeous sunlit back yard of her parent’s house, headed to the beach with photographers Red Fish Blue Fish Photography for fun-filled wedding party photos, and hosted a reception for their friends and family at the scenic Ballard waterfront location, The Canal.
Their tropical wedding color palette of pear green, fuchsia, orange and red is so joyous, and would look amazing at any summertime wedding! I love the little touches like the simple flowers tucked behind the bridesmaids ears and the groomsmen’s green ties, and you have to admit that even having a matching getaway motorcycle was a stroke of pretty impressive wedding planning genius! Nice! For anyone out there considering bold, bright colors for your own wedding, here are some fun finds to help you along…
IdealFavors.com has a great selection of richly colored paper lanterns to hang around your outdoor wedding reception and paper parasols for your guests to shade themselves from the sun. Chartreuse, mango, fuchsia and grass green; what great colors!
J Crew’s two-tone sating heels and clutches would look amazing on either the bridesmaids or the bride herself, and the brooches could be pinned to a dress, a bouquet, or given to mothers and grandmothers as alternatives to traditional corsages.
For the groom and his groomsmen, Barneys has all sorts of colorful accessories to liven up their look; brightly patterned ties, silk pocket squares, striped socks and funky, colorful cuff links. What a fabulous way to have some fun with your wedding day fashion!
