Emmy Award’s Bridal Looks

September 17, 2007 | editorial team

It’s officially award show season, my favorite time of year! Last night kicked it all off with the 2007 Prime Time Emmy Awards and there was certainly some wedding inspiration to be found. Gorgeous white dresses of all shapes and styles were seen strutting the red carpet, the most bridal of which had to be the structured Zac Posen number worn by Katherine Heigl (winner of Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series- congrats Katherine!) I also love the details and metallic accents of Marcia Cross’ Georges Chakra dress and Jane Krakowski’s Pamella Rouland halter dress, not to mention the loose flowing curls and classic red lips worn by many starlets at the show. Any of these looks could be great wedding style inspiration- what fun!

Super Posh Lauren Merkin Clutches

September 14, 2007 | editorial team

I ran across these pretty leather Lauren Merkin clutches at Posh on Main’s website (a fabulous local shoe boutique), and think they would be a perfect wedding day accessory. Small, sparkly, stylish and feminine, you could use one at your wedding and for many years to come. I would wear one with gowns and jeans alike! Check out all the size and color options at PoshOnMain.com.

Pearl River Parasols

September 12, 2007 | editorial team

Blazing hot sun and surprise rain showers- two challenges to outdoor weddings that just can’t be controlled. Instead of letting the weather stress you out, why not embrace it and let it add to the personality of your big day? These paper parasols from Pearl River are light enough to gently shade guests from the hot, hot sun but also have a water repellent oil coating to stop the raindrops in case of showers. Good for all climates, surprisingly affordable and as cute as can be; put a pretty basket of them out for your guests to grab and I bet they’ll be enjoyed even if the weather is perfect!
