Bridal Jewelry and Bridesmaids Gifts from SonyaRenee Jewelry

July 25, 2008 | editorial team

The talented jewelry designer Gina from SonyaRenee Jewelry recently introduced herself to Junebug, and I think that her lovely designs would make fantastic gifts for your bridesmaids, the ladies in your family, or, well, yourself! Offering a wide variety of both inexpensive and fine jewelry pieces, she knows what girls like; lockets and charms, monograms and mini-pendants, all delicate, feminine and a little bit funky. I’m dying to get my hands on any and all of these to play with layering them together!

Brides get special discounts when buying multiples for their bridesmaids, so all of you looking for gifts for your girls are in luck! You can get 20% off any order including 3-5 pieces, and 40% off 6 or more. Check out her website for all the beautiful options, and contact Gina directly for custom design possibilities.

Wedding color, decor, favor and floral inspiration from Matthew Mead Style

July 21, 2008 | editorial team

The always clever and inventive Matthew Mead has redesigned his website offering more fabulous crafts, collectibles, recipes, favors and entertaining ideas than ever before. Many of the features are only available by becoming a member, but his portfolio alone is worth a visit whether you plan to pay a membership fee or not. The gorgeous colors and sweet details in each photo make them an absolute treat to look at, and the simplicity of his designs really do make them accessible and easy to create no matter what your wedding budget or level of DIY aptitude!

Matthew Mead wedding color and decor inspiration

I love the pink paper candy favors tied with black and pink striped ribbon in the top row, the clean organic look of his flower arrangements, and his inventive use of purple hues (which inspired the purple winter wedding color palette I made back in December.) For endless inspiration during your own wedding planning, be sure to check out his new site. Thanks Matthew!

Real Weddings- Megan and Zeb

July 18, 2008 | editorial team

John and Joseph Photography, romantic Salish Lodge real wedding

Today’s Real Wedding of Megan and Zeb took place at the spectacularly picturesque Salish Lodge and Spa perched at the top of Snoqualmie Falls, and features some super creative touches. Megan and Zeb wanted their ceremony to feel formal and elegant, but wanted the reception and the rest of the weekend to feel casual, laid back, and spontaneous for all of their guests. With the help of wedding coordinator An Elegant Affair and the rest of their wedding team, they certainly did just that. I love how these photos by John Hong of John and Joseph Photography capture their excitement and joy. It looks like laughter must have been filling the air!

After their wedding ceremony in the meadow, the party moved up to the Lodge porch where lounge areas were arranged and summery green grass decorations covered the tabletops. Instead of a sit down dinner, Megan and Zeb created a fun barbeque atmosphere with all kinds of yummy dishes like grilled salmon, kabobs, salads served in martini glasses and other passed appetizers. They created 3 different signature drinks, strawberry mohitos, lemondrops and orance creamsicles, and served them in custom made ice sculptures from Creative Ice to keep them perfectly chilled. Thier unbelivable wedding cake from the ledgendary company Mike’s Amazing Cakes was a replica of a photo taken as Zeb proposed to Megan during a goldola ride in Venice. So fun! Sounds like a celebration no one will forget! Thanks so much for sharing your day with us Megan and Zeb!
