Anyone besides me totally excited that it’s award season? My favorite fashion time of year! I honestly can’t get enough of all the gorgeous dresses, hair-dos and sparkling jewels we get to see from one award show to the next, and I think there’s always lots of wedding inspiration to be found. At the 2009 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday night the themes I noticed the most were the pastel colored dresses like the ones on Olivia Wilde, January Jones, Cameron Diaz, Christina Applegate and Drew Barrymore below, all of which would make fantastic bridesmaid’s dress colors…

…and creamy, neutral colored dresses, some off-white, some metallic, some slightly flesh toned, which were everywhere to be seen! Ladies like America Ferrera, Amanda Seyfried, Isla Fischer, Sandra Bullock and Jane Krakowski also embraced another big trend, the one shoulder neckline, while Kate Beckinsale, Elizabeth Banks, Vanessa Hudgens, and Beyonce went for the popular wedding dress shape, the figure flaunting mermaid skirt.

While not everything easily translates to weddings, I think the crumb catcher neckline of Kate Beckinsale’s strapless J. Mendel dress, the chiffon tiers at the bottom of Sandra Bullock’s Dior dress and really, Eva Mendez’s entire look with her structured white Dior dress, turquoise necklace and pretty up-do could walk directly down the aisle and look absolutely perfect! Such fashion fun! What were your favorite looks?
