The Royal Wedding!April 29!
Unless you’ve been under a rock for the past few months, you’ve surely heard the buzz about the long anticipated wedding of Prince William to his bride Kate Middleton, and the date is swiftly approaching! There are endless sources of online and television coverage leading up to the day, and well as minute-by-minute play-by-plays that will be reported as the wedding day it self unfolds. I personally admit to being totally excited to watch the wedding on TV, and I just couldn’t have a Calendar of Events post for April without including it. Check out their official Royal Wedding Website for more information!

What three adjectives best describe your wedding?Surreal, breathtaking, fun.
What inspired your personal wedding style, and how were your personalities incorporated into your big day? I wanted to keep the wedding simple and classic. I’m a girly-girl through and through and love soft romantic shades like pink and ivory.
I fell in love with our invitation design as soon as I saw it; we just needed to customize the colors. I knew I wanted letterpress and although Bella Figura is across the country, they were great at communicating with me. My invitations were one of my favorite things from my wedding! To save money, we lined the envelopes ourselves. We got so carried away that we also lined the RSVP return envelopes! We not only customized the envelopes, but I attached a brooch to my bouquet that my late-grandmother left for me. Also, the day before the wedding my mom, a close family friend, my cousins, aunt, my husbands aunt and even my uncle spent all day putting together flower centerpieces, boutonnières and bouquets. They turned out absolutely beautiful and more then I had hoped for. As silly as this seems – one of my musts were black chiavari chairs. I just love the look and style of them.
Looking back, what are the moments, decisions, or memories that you loved the most about your wedding? The entire day was romantic to me. My favorite memories were when I first saw my husband and when we had our first dance – it was all so surreal! Our most sentimental moment was when Shea’s grandfather married us. It was extremely personal and meant so much to have him confirm our marriage. Our best decision was our photographer and videographer. We loved how the wedding pictures and video turned out. Seeing the pictures and watching the video really brought us back to that day. Oh, and my shoes! I LOVED my shoes! I picked them out even before the dress!
