modern crystal bridal earrings from Sophie Blake

If you’re looking for bridal accessories that push the envelope a bit and aren’t your classic, demure bridal design, then let me introduce you to jewelry designer Sophie Blake and her Jazz earrings.

Sophie’s designs have the perfect amount of fashion forward edge while still being entirely wearable. Her crystal Jazz earrings would make an amazing addition to a wedding day look, dress up any outfit from casual to couture (check out how fabulous they are on Ms. Katherine McPhee below!), and I’m happy to announce that we get to give a pair away to one lucky Junebug reader! To win a pair of these beauties for yourself, simply visit the Sophie Blake website, leave us a comment here telling us about the designs you like best and how you would wear them, and we’ll choose a winner at random from our entries next Monday, August 13, 2012!

From designer, Sophie Blake: I called these earrings Jazz just because they had the right amount of Sparkle, to Jazz up your wardrobe, they can be worn for a wedding but they are also versatile enough to wear for other occasions. They have a modern twist and are for the kind of girl who likes unique and contemporary style. A bit more bold then a classic earrings, since they have the spike on the bottom, with a balanced design making the earrings rock chic! These earrings are special to me because when I created them I was using a vintage chain that no longer can be found. In fact, alot of my pieces are limited edition, and are produced in small quantities, making each piece unique and a keepsake.

From Jacquie’s vintage inspired Jenny Packham wedding dress to the artistic photos that photographer Crash Taylor captured of this sweet family, I can’t think of a lovelier way to end our British celebration!

Tell us about your wedding location – how you chose it, and what its history is. Stapleford Park is a luxury country house hotel dating back to the Georgian times, it is very grand inside although the staff have the ability to make everyone feel relaxed and at home. We had friends traveling from Canada and Australia and we wanted them to experience a beautiful English hotel.

Looking back, what are the moments, decisions or memories that you love the most about your wedding? Walking into the Orangery and seeing my husband to be and all our friends and familly was amazing. We worked hard to try and make the wedding feel personal to everyone, and I think we managed to do it by making everyone feel included.

British Wedding Fashion – Fascinators and Hats!

August 2, 2012 | editorial team

When you think of British weddings, no doubt visions of ladies in fabulous hats and fascinators come to mind (remember Posh Spice, Beatrice and Eugenie at the royal wedding?). It’s one of my favorite things about British wedding fashion – so traditional and proper, and at the same time joyous, celebratory and fashion forward! Great millinery designers create true works of wearable art, and today we’ve got designs from two who we simply adore – New York City’s Satya Twena and England’s Jane Taylor Millinery. Check out some of their gorgeous creations below and visit their websites for more information about ordering your own!
