Hey photo lovers! Here’s a peek at the wedding images and ideas that Junebug readers have been loving and posting to their Pinterest pages this week – what kinds of wedding photos have been catching your eye lately?
Have you ever seen more perfect bridal ballet flats than these white satin and pearl “Flambe” flats from Kate Spade? They were worn by the lovely bride in this Australian real wedding photographed by Ben Yew Photography.
From the tropical tangerine, melon, apple green and aqua wedding color palette to the absolute vacation bliss you can see on everyone’s faces, I cannot get enough of Chrissy and Kahseim’s Cancun, Mexico destination beach wedding. And that day-after photo session with JAG Studios toward the end of the post? Steamy and stunning! Read on and you’ll see just what I mean…
What three adjectives best describe your wedding?Intimate, fun and epic!
What was your wedding color palette?Tropical colors – tangerine orange, melon pink, apple green and aqua blue
What inspired your personal wedding style, and how did you incorporate your style and personalities into your big day?A beach wedding was always something we imagined for ourselves, so that became our inspiration. We incorporated our style and personality by having different color and style bridesmaid dresses. We also thought it would be unique to have the bridesmaids create their own bouquets by crafting cream-colored tissue paper into Mexican tissue paper flowers. We thought this would bring some fun and character to the whole experience for everyone. Reciting our own vows was also something important to us because we wanted our ceremony to be personal and intimate.
Looking back, what are the moments, decisions or memories that you love the most about your wedding? One of the best decisions made was by the groom, who decided to surprise his bride by inviting a second photographer (JAG Studios) to Mexico for three full days of shooting. The pictures tell a unique story of our love for each other, and for our friends and family whose candid moments were all captured on camera the day before, the day of and the day after our wedding. Its these images that let us know each decision made was the best decision because we have nothing but great memories of our wedding experience.
What piece of advice would you give to a bride planning her wedding today?Create a vision of what you want and try not to stray from that vision while making decisions. And keep in mind that the most important part of that day is not the venue, the dress, the flowers or the food – its the moment you look into the eyes of your soulmate and pledge a lifetime of love and happiness in front of all those who love you both.
