We may be a little biased, but there’s just something about an Austin wedding that’s extra special. Julia and Vannie’s traditional wedding at Hotel Ella in Austin was elegant and chic, with fresh orange, green, and yellow details paired with sleek white elements. Photographer Jennifer Lindberg did a beautiful job of snapping the special moments for Julia and Vannie to cherish for years.

The Couple: Julia and Vannie

The Wedding: Hotel Ella, Austin, Texas

The Moments: “My favorite moment was being up at the altar with Vannie and truly feeling like we were the only ones in the room. It was a very personal moment, although there were 350 other people in the room. It was the last thing I expected but a very wonderful surprise. When people say your our wedding will seem like a blur, it’s true! This is one of the very few vivid moments I have from that day.

The Inspiration: “I wanted fresh and happy spring colors with white and green and yellow. We wanted the day to reflect our laid-back sensibility but still read as a special occasion so we tried for simplified elegance.

Gold and Blush Styled Shoot

November 3, 2014 | Junebug Weddings

gold and blush styled shoot

Romantic floral designs, luxe styling, and feminine details are a few of our favorite things here at Junebug. When Anouschka Rokebrand submitted the images of this gold and blush styled shoot, we were enchanted by the way the sequin accents create beautiful bursts of light throughout the elegant décor. Sweet couple Neomi and Thijs, already married, were the perfect subjects for the shoot, looking lovely in their blush and navy attire.

Anouschka carefully handpicked the talented team who crafted the various aspects of the shoot, from floral design to table linens. Holly Marder of Avenue Lifestyle in The Netherlands directed the styling of the shoot with real brides in mind, intending to show how their dream wedding could become a reality.

Here’s what Holly had to say about designing the shoot:

“For this assignment I was drawn to muted greens and peachy tones being mindful to ensure that Anouschka’s signature feminine style and brand aesthetic was still visible in the choices I made. The palette combined organic olive and pistachio tones, with opulent brass and gold tones and a touch of peach to finish the look off. I wanted the look and feel to be natural, organic and feminine with touches of opulence. A gold sequined table runner and shimmering gold vintage cutlery infused the look with a glamourous appeal, yet napkins wrapped in twine, wooden bistro chairs, simple monochromatic stationary a nonchalant bouquet with sprays of herbs, roses and wildflowers defused the opulence and kept everything looking and feeling organic and naturally feminine.”

Intimate French Wedding in Provence

November 3, 2014 | Junebug Weddings

Jules-James-David-Guenther-Photography-29

We love a wedding where every moment and every detail is a reflection of the love shared between the couple on their wedding day. Jules and James planned an intimate French wedding in Provence with the help of their closest loved ones. The pastel palette was reminiscent of the surrounding architecture, and set a sweet scene for the day. The pair exchanged vows in a personal love ceremony where both the bride and groom’s dads officiated, along with special readings from other family members. David Guenther‘s images of the affair are light and airy, which is a beautiful reflection of the romantic day Jules and James shared.

The Couple: Jules and James

The Wedding: Provence, France

The Inspiration: “We chose to get married in Provence for its history and beauty, so that was our main inspiration for the entire wedding. Our ceremony and reception were held at Villa Cambaras, a rustic old hunting lodge built in the 1800’s in Fayence, France. The villa and property are so beautiful on their own and completely surrounded by nature, that we didn’t need to add too much more. We wanted to just enhance the romance of it by adding a ton of flowers and candles. But wanted to keep the classic Provencal look throughout the decor.

We both love antiques and a vintage look so we also wanted to incorporate that theme by using vintage furniture and accessories. We really wanted to stay true to our style and taste and for our guests to feel like this was our wedding as soon as they arrived. We achieved that by doing all the decor and set up ourselves, and incorporating a lot of our own decor from home. It turned out so beautiful and even better than we could have imagined!”

The Moments: “Our intimate love ceremony was our favourite part. Both of our dads were the officiants and spoke in both French and English. It was such a personal ceremony completely focused on the love we have for each other. Jules‘ mum and older sister both did readings and we wrote and read our own vows to each other. It meant a lot to us to focus the ceremony purely on our journey and relationship and having our closest friends and family present.

The Couple Recommends: “The team at Organic Concept were amazing! They customized our tent order, gave us an amazing price and adapted their schedule to set up and take down the tent. Brightlights band made the night! They got everyone on their feet and we danced the night away until 4am. They played as late as we wanted and took requests from guests as the night went on. A great group of fun and young British guys. So so talented!
