After deciding to forgo a traditional proposal, Hannah and Ryan chose to elope in the Blue Ridge Mountains, wanting to maintain focus on their love and togetherness above all else. Inviting along only their two wedding professionals, Betty Clicker Photography and officiant Dave Norris, the couple exchanged handwritten vows and explored the vast nature around them. To end the evening, Hannah and Ryan shared a picnic in the forest with a two-person wedding cake and fresh strawberries.
The Couple:
Hannah and Ryan
The Wedding:
Blue Ridge Mountains, Virginia
The Inspiration:
We eloped so that we could have a simple ceremony and stress-free day that celebrated us, so that’s what inspired most of our choices. We were eloping in the mountains, which required a bit of a walk through the woods, so practicality was also a factor when picking out our outfits!

The Moments:
The moments right after we read our vows! It was such a surreal, happy feeling to know that we had done it, we were married!
The Couple Recommends:
The only professionals we hired were our photographer, Kate Thompson of Betty Clicker, and our officiant, Dave Norris. Both were incredibly flexible with our somewhat crazy elopement plan – we couldn’t have asked for better people to share our day with. We’d recommend them both based on both their personalities and their services!
