When a couple of photographers hire someone to capture their day, you know the images are bound to be amazing. When Brideen and Deci of Simple Tapestry brought on Paula O’Hara as their photographer, we knew we were going to see some of the loveliest images to date. Brideen and Deci’s Northern Irish wedding was filled with soft colors and personal touches, from the Star Wars cake toppers to the bride’s personalized photo postcard favors.

The Couple:

Brideen and Deci

The Wedding:

Deanes at Queens, Belfast, Ireland

The Inspiration:

Simplicity was key for us – we tried to bring in various aspects of both our personalities from photography and music, to Lego and flowers. Hollie, our florist, created the most beautiful bouquets and table decor. Although we were having a city wedding, I wanted the flowers to be wild and unstructured with seasonal blackberries.

I’ve always loved BHLDN.com and didn’t want a traditional wedding dress, so I opted for a blush pink dress by Catherine Deane and ivory bridesmaid dresses.

The most important thing for us was to enjoy great music and delicious food in the company of our friends and family. It was a bonus that we got the most beautiful weather – a second summer in September.

The Moments:

Brideen: I loved when we finally sat down to enjoy our meal, seeing all our friends and family around us and having the sun shining all day!

Deci: It was all about the dance-floor. Joe and Emro, two DJ friends, were amazing – playing a mix of indie, hip hop, disco, grunge and 80s cheese… I’ve got great memories of hugging and moshing with practically everyone at the wedding.

The Couple Recommends:

We loved each and every one of our suppliers, we’ve been lucky to meet and become friends with so many talented people over the last few years, as wedding photographers. I would (and we always do) recommend all of them!

Paula, a friend and our photographer, did an amazing job – we love her and her work. She made us feel relaxed and at ease in front of the camera and we loved the beautiful images she created. The wedding day went by so quickly that it’s great to have such an artful and personal reminder of it.

Gareth and all the staff at Deanes at Queens were superb. They couldn’t have been more helpful and lovely.

1940s Inspired Wedding at the Casa Club

May 10, 2015 | Junebug Weddings

1940s-Inspired-Wedding-at-the-Casa-Club (23 of 37)

María Paz and Pablo planned a bright, natural wedding at Casa Club in Santiago, Chile! Pulling inspiration from the 1940s, the bride wore a birdcage veil and a simple, soft-white, tea length dress. Baby’s breath, yellow daisies, and blue confetti dressed the venue as the couple tied the knot. MILLADELPINO photography captured incredible photos of the couple, including some special moments spent away from the crowd.

The Couple:

María Paz and Pablo

The Wedding:

Casa Club, Santiago, Chile

The Inspiration:

Our inspiration was the 40’s. Particularly, I always liked the vintage style and that style was the inspiration for the decoration and wardrobe.  Another factor is the color, I love bright colors and I chose as the color palette, yellow, blue and white. Overall, I think the two factors resulted in a romantic and cheerful atmosphere.

The Moments:

It’s so hard to choose! I think it was the moment when I dared to sing to him in front of all the guests. I had prepared it, but I didn’t know if I was finally going to pull it through. It was a nice moment in which I put all my heart.

Vintage Wisconsin Wedding at Johnson Motor Sales

May 9, 2015 | Junebug Weddings

Vintage-Wisconsin-Wedding-at-Johnson-Motor-Sales (8 of 24)

Choosing the perfect venue for your big day can sometimes be difficult, but for Stephanie and Mitchell the choice was clear! Johnson Motor Sales, which is the family’s vintage car business, was just the place for Stephanie and Mitchell to exchange their vows. Not only do they love vintage cars, but the couple decided a vintage themed wedding would complete the decor nicely — and it did! Retro car memorabilia, classic black and white attire, and soft cream florals dressed the venue as the couple tied the knot. And, making the day even more amazing, Beau Petersen Photography was there to capture it all!

The Couple:

Stephanie and Mitchell

The Wedding:

Johnson Motor Sales, New Richmond, Wisconsin

The Inspiration:

Our wedding inspiration came from our love of vintage, particularly vintage cars. We had the wedding at my family’s dealership. I’ve grown up with a love for vintage cars and pretty much anything vintage for that matter. It was a passion that was passed down from my parents to me. Mitch shares this same passion and has the gift of being able to know how to fix absolutely anything and everything. Vintage or not. So he has grown to become very involved in our family business and family hobbies such as vintage car racing.

The Moments:

My favorite part of our wedding was being able to have our wedding be an exact reflection of who we are. We were able to customize our entire ceremony, use my father’s vintage yellow greyhound bus to hangout on that day, and get married and celebrate in a space that meant so much to both of us. Mitch says his favorite moment was watching me walk down the aisle. The end result was astonishing and being able to pull it all off with the help of our family and friends was nothing short of a dream come true.

The Couple Recommends:

Our photographer and mc were above exceptional! They work so great together and kept the day on task so that everything went perfect! We also had a singer during our ceremony, Maggie Meath, whose voice is absolutely breath taking and made our wedding ceremony feel like a dream. Our officiant Carolyn was so great to work with and so accommodating. With her we were able to create a wedding ceremony that was personalized perfectly to fit our vision and who we are. Mike Higgins was our videographer and every time we watch our wedding video we get to relive that special day over and over again. Not only was the video amazing but he interviewed family and friends asking for words of advice and best wishes (which we had no idea was happening).
