It makes sense that creative couples come up with some of the most unique engagement session ideas, but Michelle and Eric’s Brooklyn engagement shoot might take the cake for being the coolest. The quirky couple, who both work for Nickelodeon, decided to recreate their first date and bring a photographer along to capture the magic. From playing Foosball and bowling at The Gutter to taking a romantic stroll around the neighborhood, each spot holds special memories that UNIQUE LAPIN Photography documented on film for Michelle and Eric to cherish forever.
A big congrats to Michelle and Eric on their upcoming nuptials from all of us at Junebug! For more creative engagement ideas, check out our engagement photo inspiration board on Pinterest!
Anyone who says a barn wedding can’t be elegant hasn’t seen Ashley and Caleb’s understated Michigan wedding at Historic Barns Park. The DIY rustic wedding incorporated delicate gold, blush pink, and sage green décor from centerpieces to the newlyweds table. Dan Stewart Photography beautifully captured the intimate moments Ashley and Caleb will always remember from their wedding day.
Natural, simple elegance. I didn’t want the decor to distract from what was taking place, rather, add to the feel and atmosphere that we were trying to create. I wanted to play off the historic architecture of the reception venue, which was incredibly stunning.
The Moments:
The celebration afterward; being with all the lovely people that make our lives great. And just taking little moments to soak in the details, to reflect on later.
Chicago weddings are the height of class and sophistication, and Kathryn and Jed’s wedding at The Langham Chicago is a perfect example. The celebration was full of graceful neutrals, from Kathryn’s angelic bridal look to her bridesmaids’ chic champagne gowns, paired with subtle Art Deco elements carefully chosen by LK Events Chicago. Elena Bazini Photography captured the sweetest first look between the couple before they met again at the altar, and their eagerness to say “I do” is absolutely captivating!
We were looking for a neutral palette with Art Deco influence. We chose The Langham because its aesthetic perfectly matched our vision and we knew that their level of service/quality would be exceptional.
To complement the neutral palette, we chose pale-pink bridesmaids dresses of varying styles, with spring green floral accents via the flowers. Jed and his groomsmen chose a classic look, featuring tailored black tuxedos with thin peak lapels.
The Moments:
Our favorite moment of the wedding was probably its last hour. The dance floor was filled, our band was still going strong, and the drinks were flowing! We’ll always remember and cherish those last few minutes of the evening with our closest friends and family.
The Couple Recommends:
Everyone we worked with fantastic across the board. That said, definitely want to give special thanks to our planner Nicole Zenner, without whom we would have gone crazy. She was there with us every step of the way and we can’t imagine our wedding without her. The same goes for our event/floral designer Vince Hart at Kehoe Designs. His execution and vision are top-notch, and his attention to detail is unmatched. And, finally, our photographer Elena Bazini, whose photos blew away our expectations and who was a joy to work with throughout!
