The Uinta Mountains were the perfect choice for Nicolette and Colby’s free-spirited engagement session. The couple spent a romantic afternoon exploring the mountainside and the forest below and wind whipped their hair and clothing about. Blush Photography‘s incredible captures are jaw-droppingly beautiful, and each image shows off the couple’s modelesque looks and unique love.
The Uinta Mountains are officially on our must-travel list thanks to Nicolette and Colby’s engagement session! For more mountain engagement inspiration, check out Kayleigh and Siam’s breathtaking Lake Minnewanka engagement.
This colorful and eclectic Texas wedding was inspired by the couple’s vibrant, rough-around-the-edges style. Bride Melissa chose a colorful strapless gown in lieu of something white, and her groom Gabriel complemented the choice with an embroidered bow tie and kitschy suspenders in equally bold hues. Happy Day Media masterfully captured the outdoor ceremony, where Melissa and Gabriel stood beneath a lace chuppah and exchanged personal vows. Staying true to the Hill Country spirit, guests hung on to their britches riding a mechanical bull before dancing the night away to the musical stylings of The Love Leighs — joined by the newlyweds themselves!
We wanted it to feel like springtime in Texas hill country, which it was, and it did. Barnyard chic, understated, with gothic accents. Guests wore their “Sunday’s best” and the two of us just wanted to feel beautiful. I didn’t go for the white dress, so we complimented one another in color.
The Moments:
Gabriel: Listening to Melissa’s vows, because they surprised me, as always.
Melissa: My little brother’s toast.
We ended the party by singing the blues with our amazing band, The Love Leighs, for our friends and family. Mel also, at some point, freestyles a Method Man-inspired rhyme that pronounced her love to Gibs.
The Island of Bjørnsund in Norway is beyond breathtaking. Glistening water, magnificent rocky terrain, and calm, solemn clouds surrounded Marte and Pål-Sverre as they tied the knot. Choosing décor from old dock buildings around the island, the couple designed a nautical inspired Nordic wedding that perfectly fit their style. The two even took a canoe ride after the ceremony to captured some romantic pictures with amazing photographer Lieben Photo!
The Couple:
Marte and Pål-Sverre
The Wedding:
The Island of Bjørnsund, Møre og Romsdal, Norway
The Inspiration:
We wanted it to be a bit glamorous but yet bohemian with a navy feel to it being set on an island. We tried to use a lot of the old stuff and decor that we found in these old dock buildings. We didn’t want it to be too polished, but still a bit extraordinary.
The Moments:
My favorite moment was walking down the isle. The tiny church on the island was packed with guests. Some island people were standing alongside the tiny paths up to the church with flags as Marte walked up to the Church. Marte’s grandparents and great-grandparents also married in the same church, and the whole place had so many good memories attached to it. It was very emotional for both of us, way more than we expected actually.
The Couple Recommends:
Our photographer was just amazing. She made us feel relaxed and our photo session was so much fun. She also captured amazing moments of our guests and bridesmaids.
