A stunning venue can often be the basis for a gorgeous wedding, and Sharlette and Toby’s wedding at Stones of the Yarra Valley is a prime example. It’s no surprise the couple fell in love with the venue the first time they saw it: a converted barn with open wooden structures and incredible greenery all around. Darin Collison Photography beautifully captured the fairy tale setting and all of the sweet moments shared between the newlyweds on their wedding.

The Inspiration:
When we found the venue, we simply fell in love with it’s style and nothing could compare after that. It was an old rustic, converted barn, perfectly placed surrounded by vineyards in Victoria’s Yarra Valley. We built our style around the venue, filling it with mass amounts of flowers and foliage from floor to ceiling. We loved the eclectic look of pairing multiple candle-styles together on the tables, along with hessian runners and our hand-made name cards, made from vintage skeleton keys. The colour theme was greens and whites, brought together by the large amounts of foliage we had hanging from the roof, as well as the view of rolling vineyards from the window.
The Moments:
Our favourite moment of the day was about five minutes after we had said our vows to each other, when we finally got a moment alone together. We had to hide at the top of the chapel stairs as all our guests filed outside. We sat grinning to each other, thinking about what we had just done. It was a time we could finally breath and take in the grandeur of the day and what we had been building towards for years.
