A Barcelona engagement session overlooking the city already sounds impossibly romantic, but May and Adria went above and beyond with their playful embraces and rocker sensibility during their photo shoot with Dallas Kolotylo Photography. Hard as the Spanish sunset tried, even the stunning soft light wasn’t as beautiful as the intimate connection May and Adria shared as they strolled through brick-lined streets and kissed with the skyline in the distance.
A big thanks to Dallas Kolotylo Photography for sharing May and Adria’s Spanish engagement with Junebug! We love seeing some of our favorite photographers take on a new city, so it’s extra exciting that Dallas will be shooting in Barcelona from February to June 2016. As if the lovely pink and ivory color palette weren’t romantic enough, Cindy and Matt’s first look absolutely melted our hearts! The sweet couple shared a few moments together beneath a covered bridge before heading into St. Angela Merici Parish to exchange vows in front of their loved ones. Jason Thomas Crocker Photography brilliantly captured the quiet excitement of the day, and it’s clear from these images that the newlyweds are positively smitten with each other!
The inspiration for our wedding is a very soft, romantic and classic feel. Our colors reflect soft pinks, creams and ivories. We wanted very natural garden flowers including peonies and roses that looked lovely against blush bridesmaid gowns. We had several children in our wedding with darling crowns of babies breath and tea cup roses. I wanted my dress to be elegant and reflect my own style. I love the lace, beaded belt and fullness of the delicate skirt. The decor was simple with the natural beauty of the church and the authentic wooden floors with soft tulle at our reception hall.
The Moments:
My favorite moment of the wedding was when Matt and I had a first look under a covered bridge. I was so anxious to see my groom and he couldn’t wait to see his bride. When I got off the limo I was greeted by the groomsman and made the short (but felt long) walk down to the other end of the bridge where Matt had his back turned. I tapped Matt on the shoulder and he turned around to see me for the first time. We were both overcome with many emotions as we hugged and celebrated that our big day was finally here. It was an extremely intimate moment that we got to share face to face. It truly sticks out as one of the most special moments of the wedding and in my life.
The Couple Recommends:
Jason was an absolutely amazing photographer! He was so laid back and fun to share our wedding day with. He captured the most beautiful moments of our day and had a great time interacting with our bridal party. He was early to our day and stayed late making sure everything we wanted was taken care of. His work speaks for itself, his photos are stunning! He is a very talented young photographer.
I would also recommend Lisa Daniel Floral Design. Her office is based out of her home in Parma and she does an absolutely amazing job. When we met she immediately felt like a long lost friend. She is positive, funny and very outgoing! She made sure she created bouquets that fit my visions. In a wedding, flowers really enhance the beauty of the bride and bridal party and you will not go wrong with the beautiful fresh designs Lisa creates.
Changing leaves, chilly evenings, and scents of cinnamon and pumpkin spice are a few of our favorite things about fall, but what really gets us excited about the new season is, of course, the weddings! Autumn weddings are characterized by a natural elegance that is best achieved by embracing your surroundings and incorporating them into your big day. If you’re anything like us, prepare to fall in love with these fall wedding ideas!
