To celebrate their two year wedding anniversary, Wendy and Steve traveled to Dubrovnik, Croatia to explore and enjoy one another’s company. To commemorate the experience, they brought along DTstudio to capture the unforgettable moments as they embraced the sights and sounds of the waterfront city. When your favorite quirky friends get hitched, you know to expect something a little offbeat. Anna and Nathan surprised their loved ones with the traditional beginnings of a wedding — a church ceremony on Christmas morning — and then settled into the ’70s-inspired style they’re known for during their reception at The Belfast Empire Music Hall. A makeup artist by trade, the bride did her own styling, and her platinum-meets-lavender up-do is officially one of our favorites of the year. Chris Copeland Photography captured the sweet moments and personal details that made Anna and Nathan’s Irish wedding one-of-a-kind.
I think a lot of our friends expected us to do something absolutely nuts! But I loved the idea of our wedding being a real reflection of who we are as a couple. We wanted it to feel relaxed, intimate and A little bit different. A lot of the decor was handmade by my mum and I, which gave it a really lovely homemade (slightly thrown together) feel! There are definitely vintage elements to it with a bit of a ’70s feel, and our venue lends itself so well to a Christmas wedding!
The Moments:
I have so many favourite memories, my dad being the officiant, our friends doing a surprise musical speech (to the tune of a fairy tale of New York since it was Christmas) dancing all night with my favourite people around us… I think my stand out memory is, as we were leaving The venue at the end of the night and we were climbing into my parents VW campervan which the family has affectionately named “stumpy” and the whole party came out into the steps of The Empire and cheered and hollered at us as we left and I just couldn’t stop laughing! It was definitely influenced by champagne but I remember thinking how incredible it was that all these people were here to celebrate that we loved each other!

Our photographer was amazing to work with! Chris made us feel so relaxed and was so unobtrusive on the day, with a great eye for capturing the day so beautifully. Also Siobhan from the Yellow Door catering company in Belfast was honestly fantastic — couldn’t have asked for a better team. The whole day ran smoothly because of them!
With its classic black and white palette, Pola and Igor’s glamorous Brooklyn wedding could have taken place in 1925, 1955, or 2015. The truly timeless affair took place at El Caribe Country Club Caterers in a lavish indoor ceremony surrounded by friends and family. The couple’s portraits with ein photography are as elegant and chic as could be as they strolled through the city sidewalks on the way to say “I do!”
Classic and personal. When I think of classic and beautiful decor I always think of a touch of gold — so I really used that throughout the wedding, from invitations, to a flower wall behind our table, to Igor‘s bow tie, gold accents were weaved throughout. There are so many fads that go in and out of style, especially in wedding decor, but I really wanted my wedding to feel like it could have happened in 1925, 1955 or 2015 and kept everything in my idea of “classic” for that reason. Every element was also very personal — our table numbers were actual photos of us holding up the numbers — elements like the ceremony music and accessories were all carefully chosen and thought of to reflect us as a couple.
The Moments:
That moment we first saw each other during the “reveal.” That morning we were both full of nerves and anticipation of the day. Not seeing each other and having one another to talk to about it all was tough. The moment he opened his eyes and we finally saw one another all of that fear and nerves went away and I finally felt excited and ready. He was the most handsome I’d ever seen him in.

Lilia of Plume and Stone was incredible. I had a very specific vision but didn’t know how to convey it without many many drafts and emails back and forth. She was incredibly helpful and patient and really brought my vision to life.
ein photography surpassed my wildest expectations. The photos are some of the most beautiful I have ever seen and his team was incredibly professional and humble – keeping the situation under control all day while remaining calm and keeping us all upbeat and excited while maintaining our nerves.
And lastly, my hairstylist Senada who might just be one of the sweetest and most talented person I’ve ever met.
