Our style is classic timeless elegance. Woodhill Park is a Grade Il listed Georgian estate, formerly home to Lord Harlech, who often hosted John F Kennedy, Jacqueline and Bobby Kennedy within these grounds. So we like to draw on the pure classic elegance of Jacqueline Kennedy, Grace Kelly, and Carolyn Bessette as well as the beauty of the landscape. Even our wine has been curated by wine presenter Amelia Singer to reflect the Kennedys’ favourite cocktails and vintages. Lawns roll into 156 acres of parkland, while Walled Gardens, a woodland amphitheatre and a restored glasshouse add a touch of enchantment.  Subtle nods to the estate’s history are woven into every detail - antique silver, pearls and sculptural immersive flowers beneath glittering chandeliers.

After leaving Cambridge with a first class degree, I worked at Vogue, Harpers & Queen, Tatler and GQ as well as working on documentaries and newspapers like The Guardian. As well as interviewing writers, directors and famous architects, I did travel journalism "on the side." I often took friends on these trips, and while I was writing about Ibiza, some friends from Cambridge introduced me to my Dutch husband! As he was based in Amsterdam, we would meet anywhere from the Presidential Suite at the Plaza d' Athenee in Paris, to the Nacional in Havana, from St Tropez to New York and the Hamptons. After our first date at Cliveden, we went on a tour of Italy, from the Palazzo Sasso in Ravello to the Villa D'Este on Lake Como, the Sirenuse in Positano, to the Splendido in Portofino. So after he proposed - in South Africa - we decided to we get married in Ravello, and went on honeymoon to all the same hotels we stayed at on our first trip in Italy. I planned the wedding with my "brides male" and it appeared in a top wedding magazine in the United Kingdom. Staying at the best hotels in the world has given me high standards. I love combining my passion for design and aesthetics with my background in history and literature to create the perfect romantic wedding venue.

Having renovated houses round the world, I managed 52 men on site to renovate Woodhill Park Estate from soup to nuts in six months, knocking down 5 walls, installing 7 ensuites, a new kitchen, boilers, roof, totally redesigning the neglected garden and creating new event spaces. I held a Wellbeing Festival for charity and put on a Shakespeare play on the front lawn before we even moved in. The garden is my passion and I will never stop imagining new ways to improve the estate. It is my favourite place in the world.
