I photograph destination weddings with a documentary heart and an editorial eye. I’m drawn to real emotion, beautiful light, thoughtful composition, and all the unscripted moments that make a wedding feel uniquely yours. My goal isn’t to turn your wedding into a photoshoot. I’ll step in with direction when it helps you look and feel your best, and step back when the moment deserves to simply happen. After photographing hundreds of weddings and calling Puerto Vallarta home for more than two decades, I also bring something that goes beyond photography: a deep understanding of this destination—its light, venues, weather, timing, and the little logistical details that can make a big difference on a wedding day. The result is imagery that feels elevated and intentional, but still unmistakably like you.

Couples hire me because they want beautiful photographs without feeling like their wedding revolves around the camera. They want someone they can trust to take the lead when needed, anticipate moments before they happen, and give them the freedom to actually experience their wedding day. For destination couples, that trust matters even more. I’m based in Puerto Vallarta and have spent years photographing weddings throughout Puerto Vallarta, Riviera Nayarit, Punta Mita, Sayulita, and the surrounding coast. I know the venues, the light, the pace of weddings here, and many of the challenges couples never realize exist until they’re planning from another country. You shouldn’t have to worry about your photography once your wedding day begins. That’s my job.

I connect best with couples who care deeply about their photographs but don’t want to spend their entire wedding day posing for them. They’re excited to celebrate, present with their people, open to a little adventure, and comfortable letting the day unfold naturally. They appreciate beautiful details and great photography, but they also understand that some of the most meaningful images come from moments nobody could have planned. Many of my couples are traveling to Mexico with the people they love most, so I want them to enjoy every bit of that experience—the welcome hugs, the tequila shots, the unexpected tears, the ocean breeze, the dance floor, and everything in between. If you want photographs that look incredible and a wedding day that still feels like your wedding day, we’ll probably get along very well.

What I love most is knowing that I’m creating something whose value will grow with time. On a wedding day, I’m constantly watching for the moments happening between the moments—the look from a parent when no one else is paying attention, friends seeing each other after years apart, the split second before someone bursts into laughter, or a quiet interaction that the couple may not even realize happened. After hundreds of weddings, those moments still matter to me. Because when the celebration is over, the flowers are gone and everyone has traveled home, the photographs become one of the few things that remain. Knowing that an image I make today could become part of a family’s history decades from now is probably the most meaningful part of what I do.

I’m most proud that photography has allowed me to build a career doing meaningful work in the place I call home. Over the years, I’ve photographed hundreds of weddings and welcomed couples and families from all over the world to Puerto Vallarta and Mexico’s Pacific coast. Every wedding is different, but the responsibility is always the same: people are trusting me with moments they can never recreate. What means the most to me isn’t a single award, photograph, or milestone. It’s having couples come back years later for another chapter of their lives, recommend me to people they love, or tell me that their photographs have become some of their most treasured possessions. Building that kind of trust, wedding after wedding, is the accomplishment I’m proudest of.

The few minutes before a ceremony begins still get me every time. There’s a particular energy in that moment. Guests are settling into their seats, music starts playing, someone is trying not to cry, the couple is somewhere just out of sight, and months—sometimes years—of planning are suddenly about to become real. As a photographer, I know I only get one chance. I’m watching the light, anticipating reactions, looking for parents and grandparents, and thinking several moments ahead. But underneath all of that, I still feel the excitement of knowing that something important is about to happen. I’ve photographed hundreds of weddings, and I never want to lose that feeling. The day it stops feeling special to me is probably the day I shouldn’t be photographing weddings anymore.

When I’m not photographing weddings, I’m happiest slowing things down and spending time at home with my family. I’ve lived in Puerto Vallarta for more than two decades, and even after all these years, I still appreciate the simple things about living here—the ocean, a good sunset, great food, and those quieter days when there’s nowhere I need to be. Running a creative business means my mind is almost always working on something, so I’ve learned to really value the moments when I can disconnect, be present with my family, and simply enjoy the place I’m lucky enough to call home. I think that balance is part of why I still come back to every wedding with so much energy and curiosity.
