Maurizio and Serena are the husband and wife team behind Rellini Art Studio, sharing a passion for cinema and photographic storytelling through the art of wedding photography for over two decades. Working in Umbria, throughout Italy, and around the world, their work is multi-award-winning and has been published internationally numerous times throughout their careers. Describing their style as “creative documentary,” they utilize a combination of traditional techniques coupled with a personalized artistry to create stories of love, beauty, feelings, and art. What is your specialty or personal style?
We’ve always avoided following fashions and trends; instead, we’ve developed a style that is authentic and unique for each of our couples. We’ve set ourselves the rule of never repeating what we’ve done before, and of creating photos that are the most natural expression of each couple—without altering or standardizing them.
Our photos are sometimes editorial, often documentary, always natural
What achievement, moment, or success are you most proud of in your career?
Having shot more than 1000 weddings. The day we realized this we also found out that we are dedicating our lives to creating memories, beauty and emotions that so many families will cherish forever
What is your favorite thing to do when not working?
We are a married photographers couple so we share every moment during and after the wedding season. We always traveled the world together and spent years shooting covers for magazines like National Geographic or Lonely Planet. We also love every form of art, so we go to museums, exhibitions, theater and movies and these are great inspirations for us
What part of your business are you best at?
We draw on the incredible experience we’ve gained from over 1,000 weddings, and we approach each one with a great sense of calm and a genuine smile, confident that whatever happens, we’ll be able to do a great job and make our couples feel at ease.
We like to stay by our couples’ side while maintaining the right balance: we guide them through the different moments with discretion and friendliness, making sure they fully enjoy the day without feeling the stress of the timeline or the pressure to look perfect in photos.
