What is your specialty or personal style?
My style is rooted in honesty and emotion. I focus on documenting weddings in a way that feels real, timeless, and deeply human, with a strong emphasis on well composed imagery. I’m intentional about how I use light and textures to bring depth and dimension into every photograph. I’m drawn to the in between moments, the way you look at each other when no one is watching, the embrace of a parent, the quiet emotions that often go unnoticed. My goal is to create images that not only look beautiful, but feel true. At the same time, a big part of my vision is to show my country to the world. I truly believe Guatemala has one of the richest cultures and some of the most breathtaking wedding destinations anywhere. Through the stories I document, I love weaving in elements of our culture, our people, and our essence, so every image becomes not just a memory, but also a window into Guatemala.
Do you have a favorite wedding story or moment from your career?
There are many, but the ones that stay with me are always the most honest ones. I remember a bride taking a quiet moment alone before walking down the aisle, holding back tears, breathing deeply. No one else saw it. That moment wasn’t planned, but it said everything about what she was feeling. Those are the stories I live for. Moments like these, set against the textures and soul of Guatemala, become something even more meaningful stories that connect people not only to each other, but also to a place.
Couples hire you because…
They value connection over perfection. They’re not just looking for beautiful photos, but for someone who will understand their story, their people, and the meaning behind their day. I don’t just show up as a photographer, I show up to serve, to care, and to document what truly matters. Many of my couples also resonate with my vision of showcasing Guatemala, its culture, its beauty, and its warmth through their own story.
What’s your favorite aspect of your job?
Being trusted with something so meaningful. There’s something incredibly special about being invited into such an intimate day, surrounded by real emotions, real families, and real love. It never feels like work it feels like purpose. I also love knowing that through these weddings, I’m capturing memories that will become treasures for generations yet to come.
What aspect of your job never ceases to give you butterflies or make you excited?
The first look… especially with the father and the moments right before everything begins. There’s a quiet energy, a mix of nerves, excitement, and anticipation. But as a father of two girls, those moments between a bride and her dad hit me in a completely different way. When he sees her for the first time… when he holds her hand before walking down the aisle… and especially the moment he gives her away, it’s not just a tradition. It’s a lifetime of memories, love, and letting go, all happening in a few seconds. Those moments always stay with me. No matter how many weddings I document, that feeling never gets old. It reminds me why I do this. And knowing that these moments are happening in places that reflect the soul of my country makes it even more special.
What achievement, moment, or success are you most proud of in your career?
More than awards or recognition, what I’m most proud of is the connection I build with the people I serve. I’ve been honored with several international recognitions, and while I’m grateful for them, what truly means the most to me are the moments that can’t be measured, like the message from a bride or groom after they receive their gallery, or seeing a heartfelt review from them or their families. Those are the moments when everything aligns. When I know the work went beyond photos and actually meant something. Knowing that people from all over the world choose Guatemala and trust me to document one of the most important days of their lives is something I carry with deep gratitude. Being able to represent my country, my culture, and my people through my work makes it even more meaningful.
What is your favorite thing to do when not working?
Spend time with my family. As a father of two girls, those moments mean everything to me. Slowing down, being present, and sharing simple things together—that’s where I feel most grounded. I’m also a barista at heart. I love coffee and the ritual behind it especially making a cup for my wife every morning. It’s a small, intentional moment that reminds me to appreciate the process, to serve with care, and to start the day with purpose. I also have a passion for classic Volkswagen cars. I enjoy collecting them and appreciating their history, design, and character there’s something about restoring and preserving them that connects deeply with how I see storytelling and legacy.
Describe the personalities of the couples you get along best with.
I connect most with couples who value what’s real. People who care more about meaning than perfection. Couples who are present, who feel deeply, and who prioritize their people and the experience of the day over just how it looks. I especially love couples who can’t stop looking at each other, the ones whose smiles say everything, whose eyes are only for one another, and whose connection is felt by everyone around them. The ones who truly care about having their families together, celebrating not just a wedding, but everything that brought them there. When there’s trust, everything flows naturally and that’s when the most honest moments happen.
How did you get your start in the wedding industry?
It started in a place I didn’t expect. I used to work with an orphanage, photographing the children to help the organization raise support. That’s where I first realized the true power of photography, how real, honest images can move people and create impact. When the organization eventually had to close its doors, I was left with a deep understanding: moments matter, and they’re worth documenting. Shortly after, I photographed a friend’s wedding and something clicked. I saw how weddings hold everything at once: love, family, legacy, joy, and emotion in its purest form. Since that day, I never stopped. What began as photography became a purpose: to serve people by preserving something meaningful for them and for generations to come.
What is your communication style?
Honest, clear, and close. I value building real relationships with my couples, so communication is always open and intentional. I want them to feel supported, understood, and at ease throughout the entire process not just on the wedding day.
Do you have payment plans available?
Yes, I offer flexible payment options. I understand that weddings are an important investment, so I try to make the process as smooth as possible. Typically, a date is secured with a deposit, and the remaining balance can be structured in a way that works best for each couple.
Is there a wedding destination or type that’s on your bucket list right now?
I feel incredibly grateful for the places I’ve been able to document so far. At the same time, I’m always inspired by destinations that have strong identity and culture. Places like Italy, Spain, or anywhere where history, architecture, and emotion come together. That said, one of my biggest passions is continuing to show Guatemala to the world it truly has some of the most incredible wedding destinations out there.
