Ciera and Miles’ crafty backyard wedding takes artistry to a whole new level! Nearly every detail was a DIY masterpiece – from the wood details that were all created by the bride’s parents to the watercolor artwork painted by the bride to the leather coasters made by the groom. And don’t even get us started on the palette donut wall! We love how this couple let the natural beauty of the backyard set the tone for their rustic and bohemian design. Most of our wedding was DIY. Ciera’s parents are woodworkers so they made our arbor (from trees they had cut down on their property), benches, our table, and our tipi! Whats even more special is that they made it all on the same property as our wedding in their cute little wood shop! Also, Ciera painted and designed our wedding invitations and all of our signs.

Miles owns his own leather company and Ciera is a watercolor artist, so each guest received handmade leather coasters and a watercolor art print. We wanted our gifts to be very personal so we made them all by hand ourselves!

Working with our photographer was incredible, because she is technically the reason we met AND was also one of our bridesmaids! Allison is so special to us and being able to share all of our wedding day moments with her just felt right! We would have to say that having a best friend as your photographer is THE BEST.
