Over the past week we've been working a lot on the men's wear section of our wedding planning book, and I've been having a ball researching all of the fantastic men's wedding fashion out there. Last night I was writing about all the little details that go into finishing a groom's look; everything from classic bowties and cummerbunds to off the wall additions like sneakers and sandals with your suit. One of my very favorite creative accessories that sprang to mind as I wrote were these boutonnieres made with buttons, fabric, feathers and toys for the fashion forward groom and his groomsmen, from Lalalaurie on Etsy.com. Laurie Cinotto is an amazing florist and creative artist right here in Washington and her boutonniere designs are so whimsical and fun! The tiny birds, stags and mushrooms she uses absolutely make my day. Who wouldn't love a man wearing one of these?

Laurie also has a blog that I'm mildly (ok, maybe more than mildly)
obsessed with called The Itty Bitty Kitty Committee. In it she
documents the daily activities and overwhelming cuteness of the little
litters of kittens she fosters for the Humane Society until they are
old enough to be adopted. If you are in need of a little mid-day pick
me up, go now. Your heart will swell and thank you for it.
