Keeping your wedding guests cool during the hot summer months is an important thing to remember, and with so many decorative fans and parasols available, your thoughtful gesture will also add some serious style to your celebration. These paper, bamboo and silk fans from Pearl River come in every color under the sun, and make for fantastic photo ops like the image above from Joy Marie Photography. Adorable! Place one on each chair before your ceremony, or incorporate them into your guest book table and let guests pick one up on their way to their seats.

If your ceremony, cocktail hour or reception are outside, you’ll have the sun to think about as well as just the heat. Pearl River also has paper parasols in really lovely solid colors, or painted with whimsical designs. They are an easy, inexpensive and super pretty way to shelter your guests from the elements throughout your big day. Don’t forget one for yourself too!

  2. Mmmm! Great idea! and how cute the parasols would be in ceremony pictures!

  3. If the weather’s supposed to be really hot, providing plenty of cool refreshments during the outdoor ceremony could keep your guests from suffering heatstroke! I can think of some really cute custom water bottle labels that would look amazing with those fans and parasols…

  4. Those are great, love the large assortment of colors!

  5. Thanks for reminding me. I wanted to get something like this when I first started planning, then spaced it out. These are perfect.

  6. This is such a good idea! There are so many ways to incorporate these, they could even be your favors with a little tag attached. What a great find, thanks for sharing!

  7. The parasols and fans also add color and decor to the wedding. You can also let your guests take them home after the event as a gift.
