Alessia and Joseph describe their Austin rooftop wedding at Hotel Van Zandt as wild, but elegant, and we couldn’t be more obsessed with their vibe. The couple mixed their glamorous sensibilities with the cool Austin style for a one-of-a-kind celebration that was totally them. Alessia stuck to her favorite color palette of white, gold, and gray throughout the wedding decor, displaying large gold vases dripping with white orchids across the tables of their ballroom reception. We were waiting for Hotel Van Zandt to open because we knew it would be awesome, the decor and vibe was perfect and it was on the infamous Rainey street in downtown Austin, which was perfect for our guests. Rainey street is Austin in a nut shell: houses turned into bars and restaurants with great live music and food trucks mixed in, all of which happen to be in walking distance of our venue!

Brandon Scott Photography was the best! They captured the best photos without being too aggressive because I didn’t want to pose for long. The candids that they took are amazing!

For our reception decor, we followed the vibe of the hotel; however, it was a combination of us. Wild, but elegant. The style was a little Art Deco with a touch of boho. Our colors were white, grey and gold. I wear those colors a lot, so I thought I should stick to what I like.

Our band, The All Nights, was very sweet leading up to the event, and the night of they made my wedding dreams come true by keeping everyone on the dance floor (and so did my DJ, Lady Frequency!).
