  1. What a cute book!!! We are having our in-town guests bring homemade pies, and we’re going to award ribbons for the best pies! We’re also having an ice cream truck arrive as a surprise for ice cream to be served with the pie :)

  3. As far as sweets, Im most looking forward to the kids table centerpieces! Instead of doing the traditional flowers on the kids table, we are putting our favorite candies in a bucket for the kids! We thought this would be a fun alternative. Some of the candies were choosing are M&M’s, Twix, Snickers, Rock Candy and hopefully more! Thank you for the opportunity!

  10. We’re having a bunch of different cakes as the main treat, but once the sun starts to set, it’s smores time! I’m trying to come up with some great variations, but I’m planning on milk chocolate, dark chocolate and Reese’s peanut butter cups …

  11. We are having a smaller wedding cake and also offering a variety of mini pies and tarts! We are thinking about adding some candy in there as well for the dessert table, so this would be great!

  13. When I was younger, my dad would have to go out of town for work trips. Every time he came back, he would bring my sister and I new flavors of Jelly Belly Jellybeans to try. We had so much fun sitting around the dining room table trying to guess what each flavor was. I want to honor this memory by having an assortment of Jelly Bellys for my guests and my wedding!

  14. I would love to have an assortment of m&ms at my wedding! I love each and every type and it would be a fun candy buffet idea! Milk Chocolate, Peanut, Peanut Butter, Pretzel…YUM!

  16. We are having Snow cones (regular and adult) and a candy bar! The $100 would help so much with putting together our candy bar! And that book can help with the set up!

  17. We’re doing truffles from this amazing place back home in the black hills called Chubby Chipmunk…they are the most beautiful (and delicious) truffles you have ever seen!! Mmm….So pretty guests will not want to eat them. That’s always good and bad ;)

  18. I am getting married in Sept. and are hagi to do the reception as inexpensive as possible. We wanted to do a small candy buffet, but didn’t think it was in the budget. If we could win this, it would actually get to happen!! Thank you so much for the opportunity, and I will be crossing my fingers and toes!!!

  19. Having a Candy bar was something we talked about, but budget wise, it didn’t quite fit in. This would be AMAZING! Grey & yellow are our colors, so we wanted lemon drops, maybe some banana runts, sliver colored m&ms and of course some lollipops!

  25. My fiance and I are not cake people, so we’re going to have a combination of candy, caramel dipped manzanitas with sea salt, creme brule, fruit and a campfire for s’mores!! Hopefully the cake will not be missed. ;)

  35. We’re doing a candy bar at our wedding and stamping little Chinese take-out boxes for guests to fill with candy. I can’t wait to buy all the candies…we aren’t doing a color theme but decided to use our favorite candies in bulk….candies like starbursts, m&m’s and skittles. And a cotton candy machine! I can’t wait to see how it turns out!

  36. for our dessert table, we are getting cakes, pies, and goodies from local bakeries. for our candy bar, we are getting our favorites – sour patch kids, gummi bears, snickers!

  37. I LOVE black & white cookies, and my fiance loves napoleons, so we’re doing those in addition to wedding cake!

  38. We LOVE sweets so we will be having a little wedding cake, but our main desserts will be a huge table full of pies and cobblers and cupcakes. YUM! I love CandyWarehouse.com and would love to have sweets made by them on our special day :)

  39. We’re doing everything mini! The wedding cake is just for us and the guests will enjoy a dessert table filled with a variety of mini items. Mini brownies, mini cupcakes, mini pies. I love dessert so why decide? Have them all! :)

  41. We will be doing a traditional wedding cake, with a table of assorted cupcakes, the idea of winning $100 towards candy would be a dream as I want to fill my centerpiece vaces with candy hearts and assorted candy for my guests. Hope I win!!

  42. Oh there are so many things to choose from. My sister has started making cakes, so will hopefully be able to have her make us something and my aunt makes awesome decorated brownies, so of course I need brownies. I really think it would be awesome to have a brownie cake rather than regular cake. Having candy to add would be awesome as well as the book because I think the whole wedding will be DIY, so it will come in handy. I would love to have the candy for the guests to take home as part of our thank you’s!

I’m an avid baker & lover of all things sweet so desserts are going to be hugely important at our reception! :) My must-haves at the moment are: NY-Style Cheesecake (I’m originally from NY- represent!), Rhubarb pie, Coconut dessert cake, Assorted (handmade.. ohh yes) Chocolate truffles, Italian creme cupcakes, Carrot cupcakes, & of course.. white & chocolate cake pops. & Oh yes, there will be candy. We’re forgoing the traditional multi-layer wedding cake & going for desserts that represent ourselves & our families.. I’m super excited & I know our guests are going to love it.

  47. I can’t wait to make a whimsical table with colored candy tiers and wonderful color coordinated designs. This book looks awesome. Even if I don’t win it, I’m buying it! So many ideas. Each of our kids at our wedding will get to choose their favorite colors and help us decorate the table.

  50. Well, those are the prettiest candy buffets I’ve ever seen!!! We wanted to do one for my daughter’s wedding in September but decided it just wasn’t in the budget. I just love the idea of the cute back drops. It really creates the illusion that the table is more full than it actually is, which would really stretch the budget without looking cheap. Cute, cute, cute!
