  • We do not sell personal information.
  • You can ask to see, correct or delete your information by emailing [email protected].

Who we are

JunebugWeddings.com is owned and published by JBW Media, Inc., doing business as Junebug Weddings ("Junebug", "we", "us"). This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use the site, what we do with it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the choices you have.

If you have a question about this policy or want to use any of the rights described below, email us at [email protected].

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you sign up for our newsletter, contact a vendor, write a review, vote in the Choice Awards, enter a photo contest or open a vendor account, we collect what you enter. Depending on the form, this can include your name, email address, phone number, wedding details, messages, reviews, votes and photos, and for vendors, business and billing information. Payments are handled by our payment providers, and we never see your card number.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the site, we receive your IP address and information about your browser and device. We use your IP address to estimate your approximate location, for example to show you vendors nearby. We and our partners also use cookies, described below.

How we use it

  • To provide what you ask for, such as passing your message to a vendor, running the Choice Awards vote and our photo contests, and managing vendor accounts and billing.
  • To publish reviews, as described under What is public.
  • To send our newsletter and photo contest emails, if you have signed up for them.
  • To keep the site secure and the Choice Awards fair, by detecting spam, automated sign-ups and voting fraud. To check Choice Awards votes, we use voters' email addresses, IP addresses and a cookie that identifies their device.
  • To understand how the site is used and improve it.
  • To show advertising.

If you are in the EU or the UK, we rely on your consent for the newsletter and contest emails and, where the law requires it, for cookies. We rely on our contract with you for vendor accounts, and on our legitimate interests in running and protecting the site for everything else.

What is public

Reviews are public. Your name as you enter it, your rating and your review appear on the vendor's page, with any reply from the vendor. Others can copy them, and copies may stay online after a review is deleted.

We publish the Choice Awards winners, and photo contest images with the photographer's name, business name and website. We never publish who voted or how anyone voted. Each year's Choice Awards rules set out the voting limits.

Cookies

We use cookies to keep you signed in, to prevent fraud in Choice Awards voting, to measure how the site is used, and for advertising. Some are set by our analytics and advertising partners. You can block or delete cookies in your browser, but signing in and voting will not work without them. To opt out of interest-based advertising, visit YourAdChoices or, in the EU and UK, Your Online Choices.

Some browsers can send a "Do Not Track" signal. There is no agreed standard for what it means, so the site does not change how it works when it receives one.

Who we share it with

  • Vendors you contact. We pass on your message and contact details so they can reply to you.
  • Service providers that host the site and handle email, payments, file storage, customer records and analytics for us. They may use the information only to provide those services.
  • Advertising partners. They collect information through cookies on our pages to show and measure ads.
  • Others when required. We share information when the law requires it, to protect the rights and safety of our users or of Junebug, or as part of a sale or merger of our business.

We do not sell personal information. You can opt out of interest-based advertising with the links under Cookies.

We and our service providers are based in the United States. If you are in the EU or the UK, your information is transferred to the United States under safeguards such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purpose we collected it for, or as long as the law requires. For example, we keep account information while the account is open, newsletter sign-ups until you unsubscribe, and billing records for as long as tax law requires. Ninety days after each year's Choice Awards results are announced, we delete from our records the device IDs and the IP addresses recorded when voters signed in and when they voted.

Your rights

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing [email protected]. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time with the link in every issue.

If you are in the EU or the UK, you can also object to how we use your information, ask us to limit it, and withdraw your consent. You can complain to your local data protection authority. We will not treat you differently for using any of these rights.

Children

The site is not meant for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If we learn that we have, we will delete it.

Other websites

The site links to vendors' websites and other sites. This policy does not cover them.

Changes to this policy

We will post any change on this page and update the date at the top.
