The Couple: Sydni and Scott

The Wedding: 6.26.11 - SODO Park by Herban Feast, Seattle, WA

What three adjectives that best describe your wedding? Personalized, elegant, outrageous

What inspired your personal wedding style, and how did you incorporate your style and personalities into your big day? I’m a burlesque performer, mostly drawn to the silhouettes and palates of beautiful women in the 40’s and 50’s. I wanted something elegant and grand, something that was created with me in mind.

Looking back, what are the moments, decisions or memories that you love the most about your wedding? Holding Scott’s hands at our altar looking out at all of our beautiful (and impeccably, outrageously) dressed family and friends while we were getting married was by far the most gorgeous thing I had ever seen, next to my husbands sweet nervous face when I walked in.

Wedding color palette? My dress was peach with gold venetian lace and we wanted that to stand out. We stayed with creams and golds for the linens and let our flowers speak for themselves. The venue was so beautiful with all of the wood, we didn’t want to overpower it. We kept things simple.

Catherine - Your photography skills are impressive. You captured the love and the wacky creative magic of the day.

Syd's dress was stunning. The location was beautiful. And so much scrumptious love. The whole event couldn't have been better, really.
