Wedding Dress Collection: Rivini Fall 2011
The Fashion Show: At the Alvin Ailey Theater, home of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and School. Such a cool location, and such a thrill for me (a former dancer) to walk through the hallowed halls of such legendary greatness!
What Junebug Loves: A stage was really the perfect place to show the Fall 2011 Rivini wedding dress collection because each dress was full of dramatic details that engaged the imagination. Fabric was layered, draped and pleated in beautiful shapes and silhouettes and every dress a statement making piece while still remaining elegant, delicate and feminine. I loved designer Rita Vinieris' use of sheer tulle and silk organza, and could absolutely see her inspiration from "the unstructured style of Monet's Gardens at Giverny" floating down the runway.
Stay tuned next week for our all new Fashion Report featuring the backstage and runway excitement of three major designers - Monique Lhuillier, Amsale and Angel Sanchez!
