Happy New Year everybody! We’re thrilled to start 2012 off with the publication of one of our favorite features of the year, our 2011 Best of the Best Photo Collection! It features 50 of the most beautiful, masterful, touching and creative wedding photos of 2011, taken by talented photographers around the world.

Choosing just 50 images from the nearly 5000 that were submitted to us was, as always, an honor, but also a daunting and oftentimes heart-wrenching endeavor. We were truly impressed by the quality of photography that was submitted this time around and delighted to see how wedding photography continues to define itself as a unique art form. Kudos and gratitude to all of you hard working photographers out there who shared your work with us – your artistry is inspiring! Keeping in mind that art is always subjective, we hope you’ll love this year’s Photo Collection as much as we do, and that you’ll come back to Photobug and What Junebug Loves each day this week to see many more incredible Best of the Best photography submissions that made it through multiple rounds and that we think deserve Honorable Mention!

Below are just a few of the photos from the 2011 Best of the Best Photo Collection, as well as information about the amazing Sponsors who are generously awarding prizes to our winning photographers.
