Junebug: What three adjectives best describe your wedding?
Tonia and Jay: Fun, Elegant, and Artistic.
Junebug: What inspired your personal wedding style, and how did you incorporate your style and personalities into your big day?
Tonia: I have always wanted to have a wedding in a garden or with a garden theme. Jay really wanted to have the ceremony overlooking the water as he loves fishing and being out on the water, so after much research we found Flora Wylie Park in St. Petersburg overlooking the bay. I also loved how feminine yet graceful cherry blossoms look and decided to use them as the main flower. Going along with pink as a major color I decided to pull in complimentary colors to pink and used blue and gold for bridesmaids dresses, vases, and clutches. When looking for reception locations I found NOVA 535 and fell in love with the place. It matched my personality as I am an artistic person and love art and paintings.
Junebug: Looking back, what are the moments, decisions or memories that you love the most about your wedding?
Tonia and Jay: While going through the process of wedding planning, the moment and memory I loved the most was looking and trying on wedding dresses. Having my mom, sisters, and mother-in-law was really nice and exciting to finally find my dream wedding dress. When I tried on the San Patrick wedding dress I knew that was the dress. I loved the shape of the dress and the style of it. Also, everyone at Bellissima Bride was fantastic they provided good feedback and were very nice and professional, which made the process fun and easy.
Junebug: What specifically drew you to La Dolce Vita Studio and their imagery?
Tonia and Jay: It took me quite a while to find a photographer that I felt comfortable with and I loved their vision. When I found Mel and Brad’s website I loved how they captured the moment perfectly and spontaneously. They can capture emotions as they are happening and didn’t look forced. They also capture moments at unique and interesting angles that really capture your eye and make you want to look twice.
