Shaudi and Danny wanted their wedding to represent their own love, but also to be a celebration of their loved ones, so the couple included their family and friends in as many aspects as they could. On their wedding day they were able to step back to revel in the beauty of their happy community, now turned family. Delicious food, great music, and fragrant purple flowers and decor set the mood, and Sean Flanigan nailed the photos with sophistication and ease.
Junebug: What inspired your personal wedding style, and how did you incorporate your style and personalities into your big day?
Shaudi and Danny: We tried to make as much of it as we could about us. We designed our own invitations, built our own signs, made our paper goods. We incorporated our friends as much as we could. Friends made our dessert bar, DJd, sewed runners, made bunting, and so much more. I wanted things to have a natural, garden vibe, while still being sophisticated. We were inspired by the things we love – each other, our families and friends, good food and good music.
Junebug: Looking back, what are the moments, decisions or memories that you love the most about your wedding?
Shaudi and Danny: I knew the day I married Danny would be amazing. I knew how deep our love ran – that we had found in each other our perfect compliment. I knew that the time we spent polishing every detail and inserting our own style and personality into the event was going to make the day special, to us and to everyone else. What I didnt know, was that all these things would be dwarfed by the overwhelming love and happiness we felt from friends and family, as the day changed from a honoring of two individuals, into a celebration of a community, a Family. I cherish each moment of that celebration, from the quiet moment right before Danny and I walked down the aisle together to the hilarious second dance floor our family started up. It was a perfect beginning for a new chapter in our incredible journey together.
Junebug: What specifically drew you to Sean Flanigan and his imagery?
Shaudi and Danny: Sean has an incredible eye for light. The way he captures the light in all his photos is just unreal. He also has a great eye for photos in general, picking interesting angles and locations. Beyond being a phenomenal photographer, Sean is an amazing dude. He was tons of fun to have at the wedding.
