Junebug: What three adjectives best describe your wedding?
Denise and Kevin: Intimate, festive, and joyous
Junebug: What inspired your personal wedding style, and how did you incorporate your style and personalities into your big day?
Denise and Kevin: We both love design, and I think we were drawn to a classic, sleek, vintage look without really defining it at the time. Italy is such an inspiring place to plan a wedding, so I think I wanted to feel a little bit more glamorous than Im used to, and Kevin wanted his wedding style to look and feel native Italian.
The most unique thing that we did for that day, was turn our Christmas tree that Kevin proposed in front of, into engraved candlesticks for the reception dinner. We couldnt bear to part with the place that Kevin proposed! So a tree trunk traveled in the backseat of our car for months!
Junebug: Looking back, what are the moments, decisions or memories that you love the most about your wedding?
Denise and Kevin: When we first got engaged we began to plan a big wedding in New Jersey, however; during the process we knew that something didnt feel right, and five months later we were on a plane to Italy with twelve family members for a wedding adventure! We LOVE to travel, and our family doesnt get the opportunity to very often; so we wanted an extra special wedding experience not only for us, but for them. The best part was that five of those family members were our nieces and nephews between the ages of two and nine!
Our wedding could not possibly have been more intimate, and full of love. One of our very favorite memories was seeing our nieces and nephews blowing bubbles and playing together in the streets of Certaldo, Tuscany. It was such a highlight of what we wanted that day to be about. The joy that we felt watching our families celebrate in this picturesque, storybook town was overwhelming. It still seems like a dream!
Junebug: What specifically drew you to Italian Wedding Photography by Jules and his imagery?
Denise and Kevin: Jules is absolutely brilliant, plain and simple. He sees landscapes and moments of love like no other photographer that Ive seen. My first thought when I saw his work was that every wedding he photographs looks like its from a magazine. There is a unique tone to his pictures, and a genuine intimacy that he draws out of every couple. When you look at Jules work it is obvious that he is not just a wedding photographer, hes an artist. We were beyond confident that he would interpret the happiest day of our life perfectly.
Thank you Denise and Kevin, for letting us share in your sweet wedding day and thank you Jules, for capturing it all with emotion and beauty. Visit Italian Wedding Photography by Jules‘ website, blog and Junebug member brochure for more Italian wedding photos.
