Jessica and Aldofo’s wedding at her parent’s home in Oregon was far from a typical backyard wedding. Every style decision had a personal connection and helped to create an unforgettable night, and the perfect opportunity for photographer Sean Flanigan to create his signature modern yet timeless images.

What three adjectives best describe your wedding? Epic, Elegant, Nature
What inspired your personal wedding style, and how did you incorporate your style and personalities into your big day? We wanted to showcase some of the culture and heritage of our families and the wonderful places we are from. Although we live in Los Angeles, Adolfo is originally from Argentina so we knew we wanted to show off some Argentine BBQ. We also had tango dancers give a dance class at the rehearsal dinner and perform at the reception. Jessica is from Oregon, so we offered our guests suggestions of places to visit and even planned a trip to take out of town guests to her favorite waterfall during the weekend. The reception dinner was a combination of Argentine favorites and local treats from the Pacific Northwest. Our cake had three amazing flavors: dulce de leche with chocolate (an Argentine inspired desert), almond poppy seed cake with marion-berry filling (a local favorite), and chocolate and mocha flavored cake which was our choice together.
For style, we were looking for a classic and timeless elegance. We didnt want to have a simple back yard wedding. We brought family antiques outdoors, like silver candle holders and furniture pieces. This combined our love of nature and our desire for a formal event. It was fancy, family-friendly and fun.
Looking back, what are the moments, decisions or memories that you love the most about your wedding? Since we have been together for so many years now, it was amazing to have so many of our friends and family come from all over the world to share the day with us in such a beautiful place. Many of our friends wouldnt have had a reason to travel to Oregon if it werent for our wedding. It made us feel so special to have all our loved ones around us during this time of celebration, and we were excited to share the surprises we had in store. The ceremony was wonderful and our minister, Melanie, made it so personal. It was so meaningful to have our dear friends sing and play music throughout the days events. The tango dancers and of course the fireworks were secrets that, when all was said and done, made our wedding epic.
What specifically drew you to Sean Flanigan and his imagery? We liked the moments Sean was able to capture, and his distinctive visual style. It seemed timeless, yet stood out as unique, and we knew we would enjoy his photos forever.
Thank you Jessica and Aldofo, and Sean!
