Heather and Daniel dreamed of a wedding that was both gorgeous and true to themselves. They didn’t want it to be overly complicated. With everything in place—a beautiful <\/span>color scheme<\/span><\/a>, stunning <\/span>florals<\/span><\/a>, and stylish attire—their <\/span>Palazzo Vanneschi<\/span><\/a> wedding was exactly what they hoped for and more. It was a <\/span>timeless<\/span><\/a> celebration that fulfilled all their wishes.<\/span><\/p>\n The couple’s garden <\/span>ceremony<\/span><\/a> was a beautiful sight, with an elegant asymmetrical arch framing their heartfelt <\/span>vows<\/span><\/a>. The magic carried on to their charming courtyard <\/span>reception<\/span><\/a>, where a long table was filled with a lavish spread of flowers, greenery, and candles. Everything was illuminated by the soft twinkle of <\/span>string lights<\/span><\/a>, creating a warm and enchanting atmosphere for their celebration to unfold.<\/span><\/p>\n The pair effortlessly blended timeless elegance with their own personal flair on their special day. For this, we needed to pick the <\/span>right vendors<\/span><\/a> who understood our <\/span>vision<\/span><\/a> and our taste and could execute without micromanaging. We chose the <\/span>Palazzo Vanneschi<\/span><\/a> in Tuscany for the venue (which also doubled as accommodation), where they had experience with weddings, and with the <\/span>venue<\/span><\/a> being so beautiful, there was very little need for extra embellishments. We wanted the wedding to be beautiful and feel genuine and authentic simultaneously, so this was the perfect solution.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n My <\/span>brother<\/span><\/a> performed the ceremony, and my husband and I–from New Zealand, Germany, and the USA–incorporated elements from all cultures. My brother even had to learn a bit of German. Lucia, our keyboard player for the ceremony, had to step in at the last minute and really pulled off a beautiful result. We were all blown away.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n I picked a beautiful Valentino gown for my main dress, and it was important that we did the ceremony, dinner, and <\/span>first dance<\/span><\/a> in this look. From there, I changed into a silk Peter Pilotto gown I could dance in. Retro with a modern take was the brief for <\/span>hair<\/span><\/a> and <\/span>makeup<\/span><\/a>, and it worked out even better than in the practice. Daniel wore a Prada suit to complement my dress.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n Don’t sweat the small stuff! It is really not worth it. At the end of the day, what really matters is that you have a beautiful day. We weren’t even sure if we had chairs for people to sit in for the ceremony, but everything worked out perfectly. Delegation is your best friend.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n I decided that on our big day, I wanted to be surrounded by friends I trusted and knew would make the lead-up a <\/span>stress-free<\/span><\/a> time. I ended up inviting even more friends to get ready with me before the event! I picked people with whom I had been through some of life’s journeys and who meant something to me.
